Drabble:
The ripples in the water made the reflection of his fangs waver. In the reflection, the point was made soft and loose. If he ignored the albinism and varicose veins, he could pretend he was human. For the lie to remain, the image had to continually move.
"Uwe?"
Uwe turned at Nathan's voice. He wished he could make his face move as it did in the water. Maybe that trace of fear in Nathan's face would vanish. Maybe it would be replaced with the gentle curiosity he showed to other humans. Maybe they could pretend that Uwe didn't have fangs.

There was nothing so painful as shopping for clothes. All Terry could see were large-breasted women chattering about nothing. That alone was cause for irritation, but irritation was manageable. The women turned to Terry and gave such looks of contempt. It hurt to be on the other side of that look. Did she look so wooden when she gave her own contempt? Was her face as empty and meaningless as these women? Terry had spent her entire life trying to escape such women. Yet, here she was, staring into their empty eyes.
