Has anyone read The Mummy; or Ramses the Damned by Anne Rice?

I'm reading it at the moment... And it's currently my favorite book. Can't stop reading it.

And a curse. There's Ramses the Great and an Egyptologist found his body and he's brought back to life (but the Egyptologist dies because his nephew poisoned him) and when he comes back to life, his body is whole again. It's just he's incredibly handsome (as described in the book) and immortal. And the Egyptologist's daughter, Julie, let's not forget her. She's trying to make sure he seems normal and nobody finds out he's a mummy. And she shows him around London and before long, they're off to Egypt with her cousin (the one who killed her father), her fiancee (whom may not be that anymore... I dunno. Haven't gotten that far yet), her father's assistant, and his friend.

Hmm... That was a bad summary-thing.

Maybe? Haven't finished the book yet. I mean, she might get married to her fiance... And maybe Ramses somehow dies... (he's immortal though O.o)

Hello.
I just found this topic and I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting long after someone else has. (I am new if no one has noticed. *laugh out loud*)

I am currently reading James Baldwin's "Go Tell It On The Mountain", bit of a slow read if you ask me.
My favorite novel is "Shadow Of The Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

I love to read and write also. My favorite genre is fantasy. Currently I'm looking for something to read in English (I'm Finnish). I really would like to read Terry Pratchetts Nation because I like his writings very much and I find Nation very intresting :D Yeah I'm a pit romantic.

The problem is that I haven't find it yet in the libary and I'm not sure should I buy it or not. I really love the cover... :D

Reading is my favorite pastime. Many of my friends don't like to read because they think it's what nerds do. XD

I just love transporting into another world just from the words of a book. it's a thrilling sensation and so much fun. It also gets your mind off of things.

Since I read a lot, I have many favorite books, some of which are the Harry Potter series, Inheritance series, and some other series I can't think off the top of my head. (:

I guess they don't realize how much fun it is to be a nerd. :)
Harry Potter is one of my favorites too! I've read through the series twice. XD

I completely agree. :3

By the way, is there any way to keep track of your posts?
or do you just have to go back and find the forums that you were posting in?

I love the characters too. One of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter series was Dobby, but they only had him in one of the movies. :(

I'm currently reading a few different books. The Constable Evens series and the Molly Murphy series by Rhys Bowen; The Killing Time by Caleb Carr; a bio of Harry Houdini; Watership Down; a Sherlock Holmes anthology; and Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Comes back by P.L. Travers.

(cautiously wanders in, looks around, then takes one confident step forward)

This is my kind of place! I'm a bookworm, and love to take suggestions from other bookworms too/
I love romance/mystery/horror/poetry/whatever else except historical nonfiction (unless I have to). Historical fiction hasn't had a good rep with me either, but I won't count it out just yet. Currently reading "Memoirs of a Geisha", and it is so good! If you thought the movie was good, the book will blow your brains away!

I loved the movie! I have to figure out who wrote the book, though...

So far, at the library, I'm raiding all of Anne Rice's books. I think I'll be moving to Stephen King next... Then Neil Gaiman... And Edgar Allan Poe.

Yup. That's my plan XD

@Fang 13-You mean Memoirs of a Geisha? The author's Arthur Golden. Also, if you're planning to read Poe, read his mysteries. Than follow that with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes tale 'A Scandal in Bohemia'. You'll be very surprised, I assure you. I was when I read one of Poe's mysteries.

It was. The only thing I would have liked to see in the movie is the Japanese Finance Minister Sato.
