My real name being Vienna, some people decided to just call me V. but i always hated using just one letter so i always wrote it as Vee until it finally stuck with everyone else that i am so much more than just a letter.
Mine comes from me playing way to many mmos and having to think of alternate character names when I get bored. This name has also been used in a few DnD campaigns because why not. :D
It's all about my name and my identity. I like posting on other forums, so I get around with different names goin' on, or else I seem a Nazi to take overs. So forths, Katherie is me as Caitlin.
((Apologies for the double post. Some translation error.
Wish04, which was my original username, was based off of the title of a series by CLAMP of the same name, Wish. I can't remember if the 04 had to do with the year I made it up or the volumes in the series. Anyways, it just stuck with me all these years, especially on DA. It's what people know me as too.
Over the last few years I've been trying to get Wishie or variations of Wish[something], without the numbers, when I make a new account.
My Username is a remnant from my IRC days, back when the technology was new. I was being warned about perverts everywhere, so I needed a username that would not give me away as a female. I even hanged around in channels about football and technology, things typically guys are more interested in. I was convincing enough to receive some pinup pictures from a guy when I told him I was in a bad mood that day- he wanted to cheer me up.
I've been using it across a few platforms since about 2008/9, but it was originally for my (now defunct) horror film blog over on LiveJournal. I had a bit of an obsession with Gertie the Dinosaur at the time, so it seemed the perfect mix!
Mine is based off the first name of a lovely woman who worked on my campus. The woman has a gravity-defying prodigious bosom and is absolutely not swift. However, I love her name.
So mine is a little weird, but I was inspired by a video game enemy from Yoshi's Island which was called a Mufti Guy. (Which I didn't know had a name, I just called them Flowery Shy Guys)
SPOILERX
And they basically hide in bunches of flowers and pop up to scare the hell outta you and hurt you. I really liked the concept that something cute can hurt you. So, I had this story in my head where instead of a flowery enemy, it's a flowery pit (a hole in the ground) with something lurking inside when you fell down in it.
johnny depp was once credited as oprah noodlemantra, and i thought it was hilarious. noodlemantra sounds nice for some reason, i just left out oprah. this is my first time using this username.
My username is a verse or poem that is quite hard to make, in my opinion. You can read about it here if you want to know more about it.
I first heard of Sestina when I read Neil Gaiman's poem, The Vampire Sestina. I really like the poem so I decided to use Sestina as a name. I just think it sounds really lovely and if I do ever have a daughter in the future, I'd most probably name her Sestina. :)
A nickname one of my best friends gave me.
There's a story behind it; he always said I reminded him of a little bird.
He said that he'd await the day I, his little bird, would spread my wings, gain my independence, and learn to fly.
c: I never forgot it. Not even nearly four years later.
When I see your username, it reminds me of an erotica book called "Little Birds".
Sometimes people leave books in the laundry room of my building and I like to look through them while my things are washing/drying. So one time someone left the Little Birds erotica and my neighbors were cracking jokes about it.
