I would like to welcome all of those who have just recently joined because I too am a new user on this site, but I am very grateful that thus far everyone has treated me politely. I have never been on Gaia, but I know that I will not want to go on that site because I have this one! =]

Menewsha definitely has the right feel to it. For me it's easy to compare it to from making the jump to Dreamwidth from LiveJournal. Sure the community is smaller but it's more close-knit and for the most part people are looking out for each other.

You are already really close to having the 5 posts required in this thread (just so we get to know each other a little bit!). What are you looking forward to the most on Menewsha?

Honestly, I found a really cool charity when I was new and I ended up hanging around for months to greet the even newer people then I sort of spread out across all of the charity forums. Things are so cut-throat on gaia someone will try to hack your account for your golden laurels, mercury's moon, etc... but here, within reason, all you have to do is be active and ask! The difference in overall attitudes is quite astonishing.

Yep, Crow's right, and that's why I prefer to hangout on Menewsha rather than Gaia where I have a fairly impressive set up.

Greetings. I am new to Menewsha, but my account is not. I signed up a long time ago, I think, and I never really got into it, I guess. I was reading these newbie things and I'm trying to get so where I'm not nekkid, so I thought, even though my account isnt new, maybe someone will take pity.

Anyways, I've read some of the guides and find it all interesting. From you guys as experienced players, what would be your words of wisdom to us newbs?
