I have a few tools I've picked up in recent years that I have to learn, and to learn them, I need to get back into my groove in art.

I wish you luck with it! :D Art is a really great outlet so I definitely recommend it to everyone if they have an interest :3

Thanks. I hope I'm able to get back in the groove. I was hurt pretty bad in my past and my groove suffered for it.

I'm sorry to hear. :( It's never good to let a bad incident dictate what you do though - if you have a love and passion for it, then I say pick up a pencil and try again! You may find that it's easier to work through the emotions than if you don't try it at all! I've been in your shoes before (not identical as I don't know what transpired, but in the sense of having something happen and my love for art suffering because of it) - after awhile I was able to get back into my old routine and was able to work through my frustrations. :3 You never know until you give it a shot! :D

Yeah. I need to balance my need to escape my reality and to re-ignite my passion and be able to do a story I wanted to do, and maybe even a game based on that.

Well I hope you are able to work through it and find your love of art again! I also hope that you're able to overcome your obstacles and get to a better place - it's never ideal being in a negative place, and it definitely takes a toll. :(

Thanks. I'm hoping I can actually take a spin at the magical girl genre myself, though the plan is one girl with variable powers as the heroine, rather than a group of girls as the heroines. Probably harkening to my love of Mega Man going into that.

Ohh! That sounds fun! You don't often see one girl having all of the power as a heroine - but rather she and a group, or at least one other person - I think that would definitely be a fun concept to explore! :D

I'm afraid I have no idea who Mega Man is though xD;

Ohhh! I've seen that character floating around in commercials - never watched it though. After seeing that article I have some rough familiarity with it though :3

More a game series, but there's also comics. Waiting on the 50th issue right now.

Ohh! I only know it as the TV series :3 I think I've seen the commercial on Hulu or Cartoon Network at some point or another - the cartoon style is what's familiar :3 I didn't realize it was a game series!

The 80's and early 90's were great gaming years.

From what I know of those years they had some great games! I'm not a huge gaming enthusiast though so I honestly have limited knowledge of games xD; I am a huge anime enthusiast though, so I can relate on that platform lol! I've never been really good at games, and it wasn't until high school when an ex-boyfriend of mine turned me on to gaming :3 He was a total game nerd! But it was awesome :3 I still don't have a ton of gaming experience, but what I do have is mainly story oriented LOL!

Are there any that come to mind..
Why of course!! <3

The Pac-man/Ms. Pac-man series - the Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong Jr series - the Mario series - Tetris - those are just some off the top of my head that I know are from the 80s in particular - I also like Space Invaders & Pinball (played this obsessively on the computer for as long as I can remember) - I grew up with the first game boys and had one from each generation all the way up until the Nintendo 3DS - I also grew up on the Super Nintendo I think it was? The grey one with the purple slider buttons - Played Tetris (and a jewel game I believe) on that for hours - I also grew up on the Sega Genesis - Haunting Starring Poulterguy all the way! And any Disney game basically - rented those from the movie store all of the time! - and I want to say we had a Nintendo 64 but not 100% certain on that system :3

Basically yup - the easier the better! xD;
I mean, it needs to have substance - but if it gets too complicated I'm over it - kind of like Disney Infinity - tried it out, couldn't get the hang of it - it kept erroring on me - finally I'm like screw it and I sold the game and all of the pieces LOL
Like I said - I'm not a huge gamer, so I like the simple games life has to offer! ;P
I'm a hugeee board game fan though - especially Monopoly - I totally collect those

Since you mentioned board games, have you tried Small World?

The 2, I don't get either. But Small World itself has been around as a boardgame for a while. I simply linked you to a digital version of it.
