Feline trouble-maker extraordinaire.
General Information:
Yumeh is a small black tomcat, very lean and a little scrappy-looking, he has short fur and bright blue eyes. You'll occasionally see him wearing a little gold crown, though absolutely no-one knows where he got it from or how he puts it on his head.
He's very cocky and independent and will strut around town as if he owns the place and help himself to any food left unattended. He can be a bit of a sourpuss at times and gets himself into trouble quite a bit. He can also decide to be affectionate, but that doesn't usually last very long, if too many people try to pet and fuss him then he tends to show his displeasure in a typical cat-like manner, claws first.
Yumeh first appeared on Menewsha during Hallowe'en 2007, no-one has ever worked out where he came from.
Present Day:
Yumeh spends his days roaming around Menewsha town and its environs, generally looking for the best free food and the most comfortable napping spots, and new and interesting ways to cause trouble.
He is often to be found sitting on the windowsill in
Mr. Mayor's office in the Town Hall. Mr. Mayor believes this is partly because he leaves Yumeh alone and doesn't demand attention from him, but also because of the pigeons that congregate on the ledge outside the window, Yumeh will sit and stare at them for hours. He will also follow the Mayor home often enough and proceed to try and dig up everything in his garden.
He also does his best to stalk the koi in the Town Hall garden's fish ponds, but will slink off in a sulk when all this nets him is a soaking from a swiftly flicked fish tail.
It is also an ambition of his to scale the tree in
Vicktoria Valentine's back garden to get to the birds that nest up in its branches, something which Vicktoria scolds him for on a regular basis, but the tree has a very smooth trunk and he is unlikely to succeed.
Yumeh is friends with anyone who will give him food but not pester him, so many friendships can be counted in a matter of minutes. He does spend a lot of time hanging around with
Nami though, and will put up with a lot more fussing from Cessy than he'd ever tolerate from anyone else.
History:
What is the history of this mysterious feline? He appeared as if from nowhere and made Menewsha his home, many people think of him as a luck-bringer because of the superstitions that revolve around black cats, which may explain why he gets away with wreaking as much havoc as he does sometimes. Regardless of his claws, wherever he goes on Menewsha people are generally pleased to see him.
