I am currently in the process of developing a webcomic, for now tentatively titled book 14. It's going to be a fantasy long form comic, so more like a graphic novel than a daily joke strip. A major part of this process is designing the characters. I want a character's look--their hair, their clothing style, their coloring--to define their personality. The design should be both aesthetic and understandable.

I'd appreciate comments on how I can improve both the art and the character designs. If you'd like me to describe the character's personality and role, just let me know.

I really think you should work on your facial structure more before starting a webcomic. On most of the characters, the jaw bone and ear bone looked really awkward together, which really throws off the character's build. (Like Pink's illustration.)

I think webcomics are a good way to force yourself to improve. So I wouldn't put it off as it is the easiest way to force yourself to improve, in my opinion.

You have a lot of charectors, but most of them might as well be the same person, because they have the same vibe. Maybe I don't understand because I don't know your plot.

Go for it. Try not be sensitive about the criticm and keep in mind how you progress. You should improve more rapidly than you normally do ^^
