don't believe their lies

Posted 04-01-2017 at 02:23 AM by Dazzlingdreamberry

A practice ball game is on. It was incredibly windy today. I've got the fan on. So let me tell you about the ultra sound. I looked it up beforehand. It said painless. But Mr x had it once and it hurt him. Of course he was wearing this collared sweatshirt which he should have taken off. But the tech said it was fine. So I wore an open neck top. Tech said I may sleep, it's like a neck massage. Au contraire! Now they have pregnancy ultrasounds I've seen on tv. Just rolling the wand around. But the neck one is different. It's picking up your pulse rate. At times she had to push down and twist the roller. That hurt. Not in a sharp way, but a heebie jeebie way. I stayed as still as possible because I didn't want a do over. I've still got tenderness issues hours later.

The place is Kaiser. It's big in these parts. Calif. Also Oregon. This was a new building. It was so nice compared to the regular one. The architecture, art, tile. There was a small café shop when you entered the building. Boy that smell was great.

Soup will be chicken. Wasn't able to read much today. Got to pay a bill ol now.

Happy Friday!

teen scene

Well, it's a warm evening inside. Outside its chilly. Soup du jour was mushroom. There's a Thai salad waiting in the fridge. I'm kind of off my feed tho. Andy Griffith show is on. I googled aunt bee. Andy s matronly, grey haired aunt. Fell off my chair again. She was attractive! She was trim, dark haired, makeup wearing 20s girl. Wow!

So, the new book. It's about high school life. The boy is 17, but he's acting 13. It talks of all the posturing. The hierarchy. He has a best pal. A 3rd friend enters the picture. She's just been diagnosed with terminal leukemia. I'm hoping the book will shape up and wonderful lessons are learned and experienced. Right now the asinine behavior is hard to take. And I can certainly relate to the high school experience, as every graduate can. Of course, your memories differ by your experience. Freshman year was a disappointment, and it went steadily downhill by my senior year. I remember saying to folks I would do something drastic if I didn't get a tv for graduation. I did. What a brat I was. But I was very unhappy. Nothing at all like the pink hued vision of delight you see now. So I got the tv. Your lifes desire is a tv set? Anyway, I understand dysfunctional. The outlier. I was a nerdy student. Brainy in English and office business. Horrible in the sciences or math. A gymnast? Haha. I could never do a cartwheel. Tip me upside down and my GPS brain shorts out. I used to practice gymnastic moves in the living room, my dad spotting me. I don't even remember the name of the moves. But you go down to the floor with your hands and flip yourself over. My dad liked yoga moves and you could often find him doing a head stand against the door. I tried it too. Oh, my dad was a body builder so there were always barbells lying around. Long bars. And I have a great pic of him around 20. He took a studio pic holding a sword or something. Haven't seen it recently. Later we bonded over running. He and my bro did music. Well, this was an unexpected trip down memory lane. It's fun! Just start writing about your day. It makes for interesting reading and is quite cathartic.

Had the salad. Not that good. I wanted rice noodles, but Mr x brought back pasta ones. So salad was heavier. But, it was ok. Filled the pie hole.

Anyway, I'm reading the book. And it's getting better. The boy is kind of a wise acre. His mother forced him to visit the girl and cheer her up. And it's working! She's cracking up. Now his guy friend hasn't met the girl yet. I'm hoping all 3 will be best friends. The boys have been best pals since they were 10. But they're so sexually mature for 17. Now I had my fair share of unrequited love. It wasn't until I was at university and reading Harlequin novels that I discovered what real love was like. And I was astounded to realize that all through my school years I had never daydreamed a crush nude. Truly never. I also barely had a date so believe me it's true. Nerdy student, remember?

tying loose ends on my shoe

Posted 03-30-2017 at 05:00 PM by Dazzlingdreamberry

Well, it's a lovely cool spring day in my home town. Yesterday there was no soup mention because, if you were paying attention, we were planning to hit Macs. I had the mcgriddle again. Still small. Nothing new at Macs.

Tomorrow I get an ultrasound. I'll be Ultra Girl! I'll use Ultra Brite and smile pinkly.

Last nite I finished 1984, read Orwell s bio, plot summary. What an interesting life. He lived in different countries, had experience with different governments. No wonder he can write about governments. And I never knew how interesting governments are. Again, north Korea highly resembles the manipulative government in the book. I looked up north Korea again. The CIA has interesting site about different countries. How do they get info? Anyway, 1984 is a thoroughly fascinating book. And I am as ignorant about governments and politics as anyone. I saw the name Stalin and didn't recognize what country he was associated with. And this is probably true of lots of folks. We're concerned with our view of the trees around us. Forest? What forest? Who cares?

Oh, George Orwell wrote animal farm! That book sounds familiar. Going to have to read it. I asked Mr x if he knew animal farm. He said, it was on tv the other night. John belushi was in it. I said oh. Could be. Then he said, maybe it was animal house. I threw a pink pillow at him.

And now, gentle people, I'm off on a new book. But that's another blog.

the a-team is on

That must mean I have my hand in a bag of lays and reading. Still on 1984. It's lagging and losing me. It's not even conversation between folks but what's in this forbidden book. And it's all about the evolution of ruling classes, hierarchy, and the masses. Who Is this author? Was he some politician? I sort of understand the basics of what they're saying. I wonder what folks in the know think of this book. I don't even know what context this book was used, but it was in the news. Someone mentioned this book. And everyone's heard of Big Brother. Maybe this is where it originated. I'm getting anxious to know what happens to the main character. Their bizarre society Does make sense with the telling of the forbidden book.

In other telling news soup was split pea. It was brilliant sun today. Tomorrow is my spa appointment. We'll hit Macs after. I'm having a v8. Heard Amazon will be collecting sales tax. I was on my laptop tonight. It is quite different from my small phone. I had this site displayed. It was much easier to navigate.

SPOILER ON 1984

go away if you want to read it unmolested. Cuz I want to talk about it. I'm reading it slowly cuz its a gem. Already looked up north Korea. Very similar. The prisoner actor is Patrick Mcgoohan. I think he's attractive. He's been on columbo, I think.

Anyway in 1984 They want to control the sheeple. They're changing the language! They're culling it to basics. So you can't really think cuz there aren't words to describe things! They retro change their news reports so they're always right. Seems they just want a compliant work force. I'm anxious to see who is at the helm of They. This also reminds me of, a wrinkle in time, by Madeleine l'engle. Fabulous book. Heard they're making a movie on it. Read there's a 3 generation law in n Korea. If you commit a crime, your children, rent, and gr rent will join you in prison.

In the meantime I looked up Russia. They keep changing their name. Its a huge country. Didn't know they had such resources. I know nothing about Russia. Why not? Why did we have to learn about long ago peoples and events when a big country like this exists. I thought they were communists, but they're socialists? I was skimming article.

Anyway I just had a v-8. Soup of the day was cream of chicken with wild rice. And today was bright sun. 1984s lagging a bit. After I finish it I'll look up author and story summary. It does make you appreciate the little things. Like coffee! They have horrible cafe. Terrible food. A girl filched some real cafe. The smell from the saucepan was so intense and exciting. They used the word, exciting! For cafe! Its a colorless world in 1984. This reminds me of, twilight zone, show. Alternate reality. We're so spoiled here. And yet... Doesn't it seem folks are always complaining about something, and we have to search out happiness? Compared to 1984 life in 2017 is utopia. Happiness is supposed to be the free stuff. Golden sunsets, puppy dogs, kids, love. In 1984 your thoughts are illegal. They brain wash you with propaganda from this tv screen in your home. It can see and hear you. Don't we have red light cameras and microwaves that can spy on us. And smart tvs can spy. We're more trackable now than in the past. And now im going to bed. Perchance to dream.
