It's a very cozy evening. Mr x has northern exposure on. Very quirky. He wants to live in a town like that. Not in Alaska, but in a smaller town. He said, this towns not friendly. I said, but you go out and schmooze everyone you see!

I'm sipping on decafe. Don't want to disrupt my dreams. Last nite was a wild adventure. I was running wild in a city, trying to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. # interactive dreams

I've been reading mags. I told you I had stacks. Btw, there's a pancake shop in town named stacks. Anyway, I've gotten rid of tons. Only 2 stacks left. Been slacking off on my desky. Mails piling up.

So, it's raining tonight, but no wind. I'm not fond of wind. I'm afraid the roof tiles will blow off.

This character on the show is annoying me. He's a lothario. John Corbett plays him. The one who's partner is Bo Derek. Does Bo stand for something? There's beau bridges. So johns character has to date any pretty girl he sees. Love em and leave em. Casual sex. You kind of want him to grow out of it.

I rode my bike inside and Ch dropped 80 points. Kind of creepy. Mr x is annoying me. He keeps laughing at the show, then turning to me to see if I'm laughing too. But I'm writing here! So I pretended I didn't notice him. Anyway, exercising with Ch is tricky. You could go too low.

Cleaning. I missed it last year. I'm starting in the bathroom. It has pink, haha, tile. Very old-fashioned. What to do. I think there's a way to embellish it, without removal. One doesn't want to muck around with tile removal. Think I should watch, money pit, with Shelley long. I have to put in a new vanity for sure. The house was owned by an elderly woman. There's wallpaper in a couple rooms, and old fashioned fixtures. And I like old fashioned. Put up my Victorian calendar other day. But new owners would probably want modern.

So, my new project will be looking through house beautiful for ideas. The front yard is a maze. There is no walkway. If a car is in the one car driveway, you have to sidle between the car to get to the path. There's this L hedge in front. Numerous times delivery folks try to enter through the neighbors driveway. Or they toss the package over the hedge.

You've seen the flip houses they do on tv? They can remodel in a month. Nice if you know what you're doing. I read in Detroit they have a time bank. Resources are scarce, so folks barter and bank their skills, then withdraw. What a great idea. I could use construction skills and barter accounting/financial skills.

There is a fantastic credit card by Amazon. I read about it ol. It's a visa. You get 5% back on Amazon purchases. And they give you a $70 gift card. That is unheard of! You do need to be a prime member. I got it. The only down side is the card is ugly. My discover card is a tuxedo cat. Before that a flower. Before that a tiger. Beautiful pictures.

I had a ridiculous crush on jean Claude van damme. Now this is embarrassing. And it hasn't happened since. But I saw a movie of his and I was instantly hooked. He was incredibly handsome and quite delicious looking. His wife was a body builder and had a fitness book. I bought it and started working out. I wanted to copy how his wife was because he was with her. This is just stupid. Girls are like this. I bought a ring with his initials. Sent for photos and put them in frames. Ick, ick. I'm so over this behavior. I did say I've never had another movie crush?

But this blane! I'm rereading the book. I've found it's a series of 7! (time passes) sorry, passed out there. There's Fan art covers! And he has a just as handsome bro and there will be a triangle!! What is with this woman's character?!!

Was reading Amazon reviews on it, but too many spoilers. A lot really love blane, too. Some think he's a bit abusive. I have never read that 50 shades of pink book, but it's an idea. One prospective pal once play acted slapping me, and I knew what road he was going down. I wasn't interested. # it might knock off my glasses

I found a good book. Had leafed thru a few duds. Btw, it's stormin Norman here. Light flicked couple times. Hope they don't go out. Mr x worried about his avocado plant. Too much rain may ruin the rhubarb. Munster's on. Cool family.

Anyway, current book is about a cyber mystery. High stakes. Set in lawyer firm. Usually I loathe lawyer spiels because I worked for a verbally abusive lawyer. But he was working at a school, as I've always worked at schools. # I like to carry a backpack

There are 2 brothers. Devastatingly handsome. The girl is 10# over, but they seem to have no qualms about it.

Now, if you've never read a Harlequin, it's formulaic. There's a devastatingly attractive man. He's rich, with a high powered job. He wears expensive clothes, drives an expensive car, lives in an expensive house.

The girl is young, pretty, giving a go at being independent. She is not rich, has a problem like a bad job or sick mother.

Guy meets girl. Guy is stone faced, girl sassy. He is instantly enamored. She is not. Guy rescues girl from various problems. She starts to appreciate his attractiveness, but resents his help. Blah, blah. Sexual tension mounts. Blah, blah. They break up. Come around. Big sexual event. They are one. # yawn

I read so many. Just because a box came my way. And decided they're not for me. This book is not a harlequin. But darned if they didn't slip one by the goalpost. This book is so like a Harlequin. I was hooked. He is just so attractive, fit. A navy seal. He's strong. Can fight. His brother is attractive too. In fact our intrepid heroine is playing footsie with both. But she's more taken with the lawyer/ex navy seal. His name is blane. Blame:)) # I hate myself # weak! Weak!

It's a lovely, rainy day. I had a bath with window open listening to rain. # color me delighted

I've also got a bag of mini chocolates next to me. I don't care for the dark chocolate, but Mr x likes it. Earlier had beef jerky. # that stuffs good

Been sneezing. Mr x just asked me if I'm getting a cold. Don't think so. Just your garden variety allergy. Today's the first warm day. Because of the rain.

Anyway, I stayed up late finishing the thriller. I had to know. So, what did I think? It was uneven. Scattered. Chockablock full of red herrings. Red herrings disguised as red herrings. Everyone was suspect. Then the ending was weird. I started going back to reread. But it's not good enough you really care. The author can be good if he works on it. He's got the suspense down pat.

I have this new raincoat. It's a pink poncho. There was a flood alert yesterday. For the next city. We've got house with a crawl basement. Water could flow through if need be. There's lots of creeks in town. Fun to see how much water is there. Once gf and I were walking near the creek and looked in. I said, see the deer? She didn't. It was sitting on the bank. I'm on lowlands. Deer rare here. But up in the hills where I took Mr w, they are frequent. But, they say where deer wander, so does monsieur ugly.
