And I'm starting off on the wrong foot. My difficulty is I can't speak my mind. I can't tell someone off, be disagreeable. I've never yelled at anyone outside my family. I was raised to be obedient by my mom and aunt. Then, I'm Asian. The stereotype is to be quiet and obedient. Then, again, I've always been a secretary. The way I played it, was, the client is boss. I do whatever they say, with a smile. I know I would've been a great waitress if I could remember stuff.

Anyway, this personality quirk rears itself in my personal friendships. I can't be forthright if it means the other person is upset. For instance, Mr x is always cold. I'm usually hot. I come in to bike. He's sitting in front of the space heater. He says, shall I turn it off? I say, no. It's fine. Because I know it's good for him. It's a real drag being this way. A lot of time I prefer my own company because I can be true to myself.

So we had a spat tonight. I couldn't express my disagreement so finally just went to bed early. After an hour Mr x comes in and asks if I'm alright. He wondered if he said something and wanted to apologize. Of course I denied anything was wrong.

Mr x is talking about food so I don't know how long I can stay here. I used to like the strawberry parfait at KFC.

Didn't make it awake to see ball drop last nite. Heard some boom booms.

It was going to be in 40s this week, but rain came in and twill be in 50s.

The book I'm reading is going nowhere fast. Where's the big, bad boy friend coming to get his drugs. All she's doing is riding horses and flirting with the guy. # yawn

Today made bananananana pudding. # sorry. Know how to spell it, just don't know when to stop. Also mac and cheese. # the great American treat

This new book is trying my patience. It sounded promising. A woman fleeing from her past ends up in dead end town. Meets guy running from something too. But the woman has spunk. There's some Mary Tyler Moore scene with her boss, ed asner. Meeting for first time, he says, sounds like you have spunk. She smiles in shy agreement. Then he growls, I hate spunk.

I hate spunk, too! So far, it's her first day waitressing. Some pest lothario rolled in. She didn't take offense. She bent his thumb back. Cute. A woman with tude. How attractive. And this guy likes her!

I don't know how much more of this book I can take. But I like the one horse town they're in. It's a religious book too. Sassy wench already finagled into going to a service.

Mr x has northern exposure on. It's a good show. I'm thinking I'll not watch the new yrs merry making. It's kind of over the top for me.

Been cooking recently. I like firing up the ole oven. Makes kitchen warm. Made sweet potato fries. What's that? Special recipe? What size mandolin? You silly goose. I tore open a tjs frozen potato fries and dumped them on a tray.

I can drive tomorrow. Newly restated health plan. Enormous pain to do. Tried about 5 times.

This is nearing the end of December and that also means the end of 2016. This year has been pretty average for me, which isn't great nor bad. Overall I can not complain as long as I have what I need. I have a warm house, good food and good friends. I also feel pretty good overall. I'll try to come on here more often and contribute to Menewsha more.
