[INDENT][INDENT][INDENT][SIZE=1][B][COLOR=DarkOrange]Of course they do. How could they not know which items need to be "fixed" even though they're perfectly fine to begin with. When I was on the staff, there wasn't a talk of an item overhaul, it was of fixing up the items that created glitches to have smaller color counts, and to bring older items up to site standards and that hardly seems to be the case now that these changes are being revealed to us every few days or so.
And the fact that users have no say in how these items are changed, or if they need changing gets to me moreso than the developers just going and changing them and saying "here you go!!!!!!" and expecting us all to like the positive change they gave these items. In the past few updates, I've hardly felt that any of the changes have been for the better and I'm tired of seeing items that I once liked and wanted being turned into something that looks like crap. Before long, I'll have to get rid of half of my inventory because none of it will look any good and then all my work towards building up my collection of commons will have been for nothing.
And don't get started on me having said that I just bought everything I have from Juru's 50% commons store. That's a bunch of crap because it's not true. I only purchased about 40% of my inventory there so don't tell me that I got off easy without having to do any work or pay full prices for my items because I did. And now that's wasted for some of them, and many to come.
And I know there are people out there who feel the same way as me but aren't willing to speak up about it because they don't want another galy incident happening, especially if it revolves around their own accounts. That would just be suicide to the extreme on this site it appears so to all of you people who are still too scared to voice your opinions, you really need to get over it. What's the worst that can happen? They get mad at you and give you a warning. I'm so done with all of it. The whole staff know best thing and only bother listening to users who adore them. Tell me you're all not gaga over your superiority to the rest of the users on the site, because I just know that some of you love the fact that you get this stupid power trip from your voluntary job. And for those people on the staff who are paid for their precious time spent making this site something better for all of us, stop complaining to the users about how much work you put into it because I would bet that a lot of us frankly don't care if you spend your waking hours doing nothing but pixeling for a site that you where you feel that you're making a difference. You were hired to work, and you complain about it openly to the general public of the site and show your professionalism and just how much this job actually means to you if you're willing to voice your complaints. This site should not be any of your lives, and just because you all feel that you have some higher obligation where you have to spend as much time as possible on this site to improve it doesn't mean anything to me.
Remember, I've worked for this site before, and I know what goes on and how things work. I may not be as up to date anymore on the "inner workings" of the staff, but it's not all about the rules and the work and the changes, but about what you do to help the users, and that has been ignored in my opinion. The staff focus more on their new features than the users who need their help. There's still a thread being locked every five minutes because clearly it's a repeat thread and nothing can be said about it. You give the users an easier way to access information on your precious site and then you won't have to do the whole "this has been brought up before. Don't make repeat topics". Do you not consider the fact that a lot of the time, these repeats are created by new users who don't really understand everything that has been put into this site yet? That they are just looking for information that they couldn't find on their own and the effect that staff actions and responses give these users.
Now frankly, I don't care who reads this, and I don't care what you think about me after having read it if you bother to get to this point but here's my brief summary of what I've been talking about if you happen to read the smaller paragraph in this entry. I'm mad that the staff won't bother including the users with the process of updating old items, and how they are still doing these things to achieve their own means without listening to user suggestions unless they feel that they're relevant to anything the staff already have planned. I'm mad at the staff for their complaints about users and their jobs and how they don't get enough praise for whatever it is that they do because clearly that's all they have time for in their life is to work on "improvements" for this site. If you don't share my feelings, don't bother replying. If you have something to argue with me, PM it to me, don't post it in the open for everyone to see and make yourselves look stupid. If you agree, say so. If you're too scared to say you agree, PM me and we can talk. Whatever.
This site used to be about user freedoms and being allowing the users to help improve the site just as much as the staff do. What is it now, because I've seemed to have lost that point somewhere along the lines?
