I'm new here, this strange place called Menewsha. I call it strange, dear reader, because it is quite unlike any other forum I've come across to date. In the decade since I first wandered onto the internet, I've been a member of quite a few forums. Some i inhabited for years and remember with great fondness now that they are gone or changed from what they once were; others I left almost immediately, with less than a dozen posts to my name.

In none of them did I receive the warm welcome I have here. Surely, Mene, as all the others, must have its share of n00bs and trolls, yet I've not come across one in my paltry 4 days as a member. Everywhere I've posted, I've been welcomed.

What is it that makes this forum different? How is it that the inhabitants of Mene are not the jaded, imperious fools that live in the other forums?

A curious thought, indeed, and one that probably will never be answered.
