Before I continue the book, I'll give my prediction. I think my doppelganger, minus the raunchy sex scenes, will save the day. The main evil guy, her boss, who sits to the right of the president, will die because he's evil. The handsome, deaf killer will die because he is a killer. He may save our plucky, sex starved heroine.

The handsome, deaf killers life is tricky. He was horribly abused by his father for 14 years. When he finally sought to protect mom from a beating that would kill her, he maimed or killed the father. I forgot which. So he was sent to juvie. Being handsome and deaf caused other boys to sexually abuse him. Being big, he learned to prevail. About this time the evil man, rescued, him. He befriended him. Sent him to special training. He would emerge a killer and beholden to the evil man.

How would a jury feel about him? Isn't he like a regular soldier of war? But he doesn't feel and remorse, because he has no feelings. I think the jury would just put him away for life.

Oh, and while the handsome deaf killer will undoubtedly die, he will redeem himself by saving his panting paramour. His reward, before he dies, will be reconnecting to his humanity, and having had a few memorable rolls in the hay with our intrepid heroine.
