the ending fooled me

And that's the sign of a good book. No, it did not end the way I predicted. It was much better! When not reading, I was eagerly anticipating getting back to it.

It's funny, as the book is about hacking. While I was reading it, an alert came on my phone saying trump was going to set up some anti hacking group in 90 days. This is real stuff.

It's also creepy. You know the onstar system that's installed in some cars? If you have trouble, you press a button and can communicate with them. Well, who says they can't listen to you anytime they want?

There are smart tvs that have internet capabilities. Bluetooth was mentioned. High end cars are microproccessed. Phones have GPS. You're tracked by social security number. There's credit card numbers. You have to protect all your info. It said mail is tracked. Your fingerprint. DNA. It's just kind of creepy. And everyone is suspicious. Who are you? It's who your info says you are. Ever call your bank? What's your password? When were you born and what's the name of your first pet? It's a bit nerve wracking till they know who you are is really who you say.

I'm kind of spent from that book. Don't think it rates a second read, tho. It had a lot of graphic violence. I couldn't read it while eating. So now to scrub my brain clean, I'm reading some sappy book about a girl going to live with her aunt. It's one of the classics.

In other news, someone in the neighborhood commented he saw a banded chicken walking around. That's funny! You don't see something like that every day. Could lead to comments about why the chicken crossed the road:)
