| Ruth Gordon was a babe | Ruth Gordon was a babe So, Colombo is on. I recognized a voice and it was Ruth Gordon. You know, the perennially odd, older woman character. She was Maude in Harold and Maude. She was the killer Colombo was after. So I idly goggled her. Wow. She was attractive! In her early films she had been known as the beautiful but dumb one. Ruth Gordon?! You betcha. Talk about preconceived opinions. I've never seen her in anything except when she's older. So I think, Ruth Gordon. Old. But she was young! There's a baby pic of her. She was cute! And had blonde hair. In 1932 she had baby out of wedlock with some producer guy. She kept the baby and lived with the guy! In 1932! Wow. I love surprises like this. I'm Glad she was beautiful. I wonder if she found it disheartening to play these odd, senior women?
In other news, I turned the fan on for the first time. Mr x says, wait a minute! I feel a fan, where is it? It was behind him. Colombo now battling wits with Louis jourdan.
