| an absent mind | an absent mind That's the name of the book I just finished. I have insomnia and it's past 2 a.m. Rats. The book was about Alzheimer's. A 75 year gent gets it. Chapters are written in his voice, his wife/daughter/son's. It follows the progression. You get to hear what they really think. Many secrets are kept. It was an interesting point of view. It's a terrible disease, tho. You're alive, yet you're not you. You continue to lose pieces of yourself. Seems it's worse for the family. The book is fiction, but the authors father had it for 8 years.
This topic has been in the news lately. David Cassidy, Gale Sayers, Glen Campbell. Now I'm extra bummed reading this. Don't like football or boxing that contributes to this.
In other news the temperature has cooled and it may even rain tomorrow. Shocking.
I need a pick me up book now. That's for sure. | | Comments | | Total Comments Comments | No comments have been made yet |
