Still 39*. Folks are commenting here. It was wash day and I had to keep going into unheated garage. I wore a top, shirt over that, fleece jacket over that. Fleece hat. Fleece leggings with fleece leg warmers.
Mr x brought back Japanese bento lunches. Salmon and chicken. Yum.
Zsa zsa Gabor past today at 99. She's been bedridden a long time. I looked up Gabor history. There were 3 sisters and a mama. The original socialites. My goodness, they married a lot. Only one kid, tho.
Been reading bazaar tonight. Bone broth diet, Reese Witherspoons expensive tastes, Barron trumps fancy lifestyle. I rip out the perfume inserts. Use them as room fresheners.
Bob Newhart show on, but time for bed. Night!

It's 39* here in Cali. I had been checking out eastern Colorado because it looked spacious, and my dad had lived there. Well, as I said, it's 39* here. The rug is cold to walk on, the back rooms chilly. Eastern Colorado is like -12. I don't think I could handle that. I've never been in snow. # what a wuss
Finished the second reading about the mentalist book. So complex. He writes on a commuter train.
Today got a text that mail truck had tried to deliver my calendar, but the business was closed. I'm not a business! Heard other packages going astray. US mail not so accurate.
Had insomnia last night so got up to watch a movie. Picked a 1938 one with Joan blondell. But her personality was so vapid and annoying it was like watching Kim kardashian... Without the ass. Said blondell had been in grease with Olivia Newton John. Looked it up. I had seen the movie. Oh, so That was Joan. I remember.
Got to finish downton Abby. I like English movies, I think. The Victorian type.

Yikes! Times marching on. I bet malls are packed. I won't be partaking. I hate going out at night. Plus it's cold. I rarely hit a mall in the daytime.
I shop Amazon, of course. I let my fingers do the shopping. Just ordered my calendars. A retro desk one for me, gnome for Mr x, and a Victorian wall one.
Getting Japanese bath salts and a blue kindle for Mr x.
Trees slowly coming along. Try to put a handful of decorations everyday.
Went to spa yesterday for facial. She had Christmas music on. I have to find new brow waxer temporarily.
I got my document notarized this week. The one I agonized over? Piece of cake. Course I almost forgot my drivers license.
Still can't drive till January.
It rained a lot yesterday. We got weather alert warning on phone.

That's what I'm thinking tonight. Got to get a couple 2017 ones. But, what kind? Sheesh. Cartoon, classic car, hello kitty, zen? Monthly, day planners, mini? Why is everything so complicated?
Our washer will need replacing one day. So I looked at a consumer reports with interest. What do I find? Agitator, he, top loader. Each one has pluses and minuses.
Well, choices are good, aren't they?

I'm talking about sears. Is there one near you? It used to be the bedrock of the suburban mall. But it's dying. Malls, in general, aren't doing so well. I rarely go. Occasionally, a restaurant piques my interest. But department stores? Even Macy's is floundering.
Read up on sears. Founded in 1886. The founder started out by reselling watches. It grew to a mammoth degree. But, it's hard to control.
Latest article shows a death spiral. They're cutting losses, shutting stores. I had forgotten they were connected with discover card.
Anyway, they were famous for their wish book. Came at Xmas. Lots of toys, gifts. They had seasonal big books. I loved the shoe section. My mom took me dress shopping there. They had the cheapest dressing rooms! My dad worked for sears as mechanic. He had a jump suit with the sears logo.
They had a picture show of a recent store. It was terrible. Sears was great. Lots of memories. They had these escalators that had this plastic piece midway that someone would drop a coin in. Would drive me crazy seeing it and not being able to get it!
