| Work. | Work. Posted 05-06-2008 at 05:32 AM by Donna [b][color=#ff8c9a]
Work was hell. I didn't get a break until about half an hour before I left, then my mother busted up in the store [while it was closed] to embarrass me. I had to deal with a bunch of bitches today [take into account I also have never had a problem with male customers in the store]. One lady interrupted me while I was having to deal with a large line at cashier [which I reeeally didn't want to work at today], to ask if I could use my key to get some paint out of a locked cabinet. I told her that I didn't have a key [only the manager does] and to talk to Linda at the cut table [Keep in mind, it's a medium sized shop, and the cut table was maybe 20 feet away so I wasn't making her run all over the place] because I was busy with customers. I couldn't even get back up for myself, so she threw a fit and slammed the door leaving. I guess you really didn't need the paint that much then lady. Not my problem, I just don't want to deal with YOUR bullshit too.
I had started doing go backs when they made me go to cashier [which I wasn't even scheduled to do today], and I was not feeling well. Thank god they noticed and pulled me back to the cut table for a while. Then I got to actually finish doing my go backs and work at the cut table the rest of the night which wasn't too bad...except when you have a few customers telling you the price is wrong, that they found the fabric with the 40% off rack so it has to be 40% off, not regular price...suure, like things don't get misplaced when lazy people don't return things back to where they picked them up. And of course they have to tell you this AFTER you cut the fabric, because it would be insane for them to purchase something that wasn't on sale, even though they already made us cut it. I like my job sometimes, we get some really fascinating customers that I like talking to, and it's a shame that the conversation only lasts so long, but other times I loathe my job....really loathe.
That's work though right?
At least I came home to not having to do a socio test. I thought I'd had to, but I was mistaken so I can just relax tonight. That's nice.
I forgot to pick up my paystub though, so hopefully I can do that later this week, and I forgot batteries. Whoop-de-freaking-doo.
Speaking of Whoopi, I swear I saw someone similar to her [and sounded like her] at work today.
But anyways, ....I forgot what I was going to say...darn.
Oh yeah, hopefully since I'm off tomorrow I can go to the movies. There won't be too many people on a Tuesday, so that's good.
Oh, and I just saw Admin's pick.
Can't say I'm impressed, but I already knew that the winner would be mediocre. Mai's avatar is an okay start, but I've seen so many better ones this week that I didn't even consider him part of the competition. :/
Oh well, que sera sera. Whatever will be will be.
My feet are aching, but I'm not the least bit sleepy yet. Expect another blog soon about how I'm still up, watch. xD
