Malakai began his life on the Island of Lost Hopes. He was born with a scar that runs up his right inner arm, from the wrist to his armpit. For a short time, he was an orphan, until he was adopted by whom he came to call Master.
His master owned a rather large mansion on the east side of the Island of Lost Hopes. It was there that he taught Malakai many things about the world he lived in. He taught him about dreams, hopes, and values. As well as how to read, write, and protect himself and those he loved. He taught him everything he knew.
One thing that his master was especially fond of was science, he loved to experiment and find out ways to go about doing something that no other person had thought of doing before.
Occasionally he would even experiment on Malakai, though this was only if he was sure it wouldn't kill the boy.
Malakai realized one day that his master had a great fondness for science because he was terminally ill. His master dreamed of finding a cure for this illness he had. He had tried to hide this illness from Malakai as much as possible though.
While his master was trying to find a cure to his disease, he made many different mixtures which he sometimes used on Malakai. He usually used animals first, but when it had no apparent effect on them, he used Malakai as his guinea pig. He doesn't realize it, but one of those mixtures that his master made, made Malakai immortal. He actually believes he was born immortal. Though he only stopped aging when he was twenty three.
For a man of sixty years, his master sure did appear healthy, even though he was sick. Even though he worked on finding a cure for his illness so hard, he eventually became much more sickly than usual. He realized that he was going to die soon. On his deathbed, he told Malakai that everything he owned would soon be his and that he better not forgot anything he taught him. Malakai, having never seen his master like this, felt rather forlorn. So he vowed that he would devote his life to finding a cure to his master's illness, no matter what.
Because of the impact his master's death had on him, an innate ability within him was awoken. He began to realize that he could phase through things, such as books and tables (solid objects). And though he knew it wasn't natural for a human being to do so, it felt quite natural to him, like growing.
Malakai spent much his life wandering the Island of Lost Hopes after the death of his master, searching for books and herbs that might aid him in his quest. He soon realized that he would need to travel to the mainland to research more about the disease that took his master's life. But, alas, he could not force himself to leave the Island of Lost Hopes because of the attachment he had to it.
He stayed on the island, experimenting with what resources he had to use. Till the day he met a vampiress and a succubus traveling together..

A long long time ago, when Ceridwen was human, a vampire took a liking to her. She was going through many hardships even though she kept a strong face. The vampire saw this and felt sorry for her. So he decided to give her the gift of immortality and helped her escape from these hardships.
She was grateful to him for saving her. The two of them enjoyed living together. And though she loved him, she did not love him the same way he loved her. But she did her best to make him happy, to show her gratefulness.
Many many years later, one of the vampire's foes finally caught up to him. He did his best to fend him off, but it was futile. He told Ceridwen to flee, and while he was burned alive, she realized that she really did love him the same way he loved her. To this day, she regrets not coming to that realization before his death.
After that tragedy, she decided to find a place where she could wallow in her misery. Along the way, she found a succubus, named Arai, who looked rather pitiful. This succubus attracted the motherly nature in her, and so she decided to take care of her. The two of them then traveled to a island where hopes were lost. Ceridwen deemed this island a good place to settle so they founded a village there together and made it their home.

Zephyr was born the second son of a dragon king in the Kingdom of Entire. His father is a dragon who can take human shape. His mother was human. His elder brother is a human who can take dragon form.
At the age of thirteen, he felt bothered by the way his family treated him like a child even though he seemed older than his age. He would escape from the palace and wander the city of Blaze at night every so often. One such night he had found his way into a tavern. No one noticed how old he was. The entertainer lifted his spirits and distracted him enough for him not to notice the stranger next to him pour something strange in his drink. Once the entertainment was done, he finished the rest of his drink and started to head out. Not three steps from the tavern entrance, he began to feel extremely drowsy and quickly passed out. He woke up as the stranger from before finished sawing off half of his right horn. He was able to escape from his bindings and fled back home to the palace. His parents would have punished him once they had found out what had happened but they felt losing part of his horn was punishment enough. And that is how Zephyr the half dragon lost half of his right horn.
Once he came of age, his father realized that he might be a threat to his elder brother, the heir to be. His mother, as well as his brother, defended him and tried to convince his father that Zephyr would never do such a thing. But nothing would change the king's mind, for his own brother had tried to take the throne from him. So, secretly, he planned a way to get rid of his second son.
Before his father could do any harm to him, Zephyr ran off, believing his father would never be convinced. His father had never been proud of him after all. Quickly, he escaped and fled to a massive forest nearby. There, he met a satyr who he easily befriended and then decided that he would travel wherever this satyr decided to go since he had nothing better to do.

Tendaji was born blind in his left eye. He grew up with his parents. His mother is a satyr and his father is human. They lived in a small village settled in a valley between two mountains, named Glade.
When he was old enough to understand the things around him, he felt in his heart that there was something or someone he was searching for. So he set off to travel distant lands in search of that something, that someone.
He met up with a traveling half-dragon (Zephyr) who had run away from home. They felt they knew each other before, but they were certain they had never met before. Because of the connection they felt towards one another they decided to travel together.
Tendaji felt he had found what he was searching for, but still felt he was missing something, so together with Zephyr he went in search of this something he was missing.
Till they came upon a village on a sad little island...

In her last life she lived in a world where those who sinned and were not forgiven disappeared and were cursed in their next life. If they were forgiven, the one who forgave them decided what their punishment would be (which could be no punishment at all).
Her loved ones in her past sinned against her. She forgave them and chose to punish them by having herself disappear and be cursed in her next life because of their sin.
She was born in a new world as a succubus. Her parents raised her until she was 93 (nine in human years). Just before that, her village was suffering from plagues and attacks and blamed her for these acts because of the obvious curse mark on her stomach. Her mother protected her and told them all (even her lover, Arai's father) that she had no control over such things and that her curse mark had no connection. But in the end, Arai was forced into exile. Her mother gave her a single cross earring as a parting gift.
Soon afterward, a vampiress, named Ceridwen, came upon her while she was in a sorry state. Ceridwen took a liking to her and they soon became traveling companions. They traveled all over the mainland till they found an island off the south west coast, called Island of Lost Hopes, where they decided to settle. There, they founded a village, which they named Enigma Village.
