Honestly what aright dose the USA have to police the world!? There are a few reasons for extraditing some one, to another country to be tried in court, and maybe copyright law should be one of them. However, making people criminals for linking to copyrighted material is probably going to far.
Here is an example, what if I wanted to link to Funimations web site to show people where they could buy, and anime that I was reviewing? Under SOPA I would be a felony. Never mind that I was only trying to show people, where they could legitimately buy something, while going out of my way to promote a show or movie that I love. I don't know vary much about the case mentioned above and will have to research it later.
But my point is this, the more that I learn about SOPA the more that I hate it. I am all for protecting copyright and supporting artist and distributors, after all they have to make a living too and sport themselves and or their family's. But, what I want is a better definition of copyright and fair use, so that people don't have to police themselves every time they are creating content to post on line.
In the end its like this Big Brother is watching us, and there is no way that things will end well, if SOPA passes. I hope that it is declared unconstitutional and killed, before things get really bad.
