You're my friends, for goodness sakes! D:

I do love my friends. Truly. But sometimes they just rub me the wrong way.

Recently, my one friend posted oodles of pictures of me and my friends at our Senior celebration of sorts. Now, a few of them were blatantly unflattering, and I asked for her to delete them. Keep in mind that they were exclusively of me, and no one else. She refused, at first, until I kept pushing for it. Finally, she deleted the one. The other stayed on the basis of her looking good. :(

I feel very insecure when there are bad pictures of me online, and a bit helpless. My self-esteem isn't the greatest. Why should I enjoy seeing my face looking horrendous? If it were me posting unflattering pictures, and they asked me to take some down, I would, in a heart beat.

It isn't just the refusal to appease a simple request, either. Sometimes, when I'm busy while they're planning some great outing, I just say, "Sorry guys, I'm really busy today. Can't go." Then one key person has to drill me on why I'm not going, where am I going instead, why can't I do everything after I've gone out with them. It's rather annoying. I'm busy, I can't go. Accept it?

I understand that we're being separated with college. But it's not the end of everything, and we don't need to be attached at the hip because of it. I'm actually sort of looking forward to meeting new people and being temporarily separated from everyone. I love them, but seeing them every day for the past three or even four years has given me enough memories to live on while they're away.

The second part of this blog revolves around cameras. Everyone owns one. You can't go anyplace without someone whipping out their little camera to document the moment for all eternity. Everyone pose, myspace picture time! "I can't wait until I upload these and tag everyone on Facebook."
Find a new pastime! :gonk: It drives me bonkers when we can't have one little get together without fifty bazillion photos being taken and posted on whatever online community of your choice the next day. I'm not photogenic, and I can remember the outing fine without photo documentation.

Rant? I think so.
