Aqua stepped through the door of light and stared at the world around her. It seemed brighter, more vibrant, than she remembered. But maybe that had to do with her lengthy stay in the depressing darkness. Then her gaze almost immediately landed on Terra, who was crouched beside a blond man. Aqua could hardly believe he was there, like he had waited for her return, had stayed there as if she had only been gone for but a moment. Terra stood slowly, staring at her with the same disbelief she knew showed on her face. He moved, and she followed. In next moment, they held each other in a tight embrace.
“I didn’t think I’d see you again,” Aqua whispered. She never thought she would ever make it out of the darkness. And if not for Sora and Riku, she probably would remain stuck there. She didn’t understand why Sora’s Keyblade could unlock the door of light when her Keyblade couldn’t. But it didn’t really matter in the end, if they could all escape the darkness.
“Don’t ever do that again,” Terra said, squeezing her tightly, like he feared she would vanish again if he let her go.
“Isn’t someone missing?” the blond man asked.
“Sora!” Riku shouted, staring into the door of light. He rushed toward it, but the door sealed shut before he could enter the world of darkness again.
“Why didn’t Sora come out?” the blond man demanded.
Aqua looked his way, and her eyes widened even more. “Ventus? But how?” She shot a look to Terra who shook his head. She frowned in confusion.
“My name is Roxas!” the blond man shouted, anger in his eyes.
“Oh. He-”
“I know,” Terra said, cutting her off before she could finish the same thought he had earlier. “But we should focus on Sora. What happened to him?” He looked to Riku for an answer.
“I don’t know,” Riku mumbled. His fists shook at his side, and Aqua could tell he was struggling to hold back his anger. Her attention had been distracted by seeing Terra again that she missed what happened before the door of light closed. “He stayed behind.” It was a lie. Aqua could sense it. Riku was obviously trying to convince himself that Sora was all right. He turned, and his gaze focused on Aqua. “He said you knew where he lies. He didn’t know who, but for whatever reason, that seemed important.”
“He?” Terra asked then his brow rose. “Do you think he means Ventus?”
Aqua almost laughed at the angry face that Roxas made at the name. It reminded her of the face Ventus would make when he was mad. But she thought it best not to mention that to Roxas. “Maybe,” she answered. She was the only one who knew where Ventus’s body resided. “But what good would that do us?” She glanced toward Terra with worry written across her face.
“I guess we’ll just have to go there and see what happens,” Terra offered uncertainly.
“But Xehanort,” Aqua argued then chewed on her lip.
“All four of us are Keyblade bearers,” Riku said. “Maybe we can handle him now.” But he still would have preferred to have Sora at his side. He stared at where the door of light had been. He couldn’t get the image of Sora faded away in a swirl of light out of his head. What was that? What happened to Sora? He refused to believe that Sora might be gone for good after that. That just couldn’t be possible!
Roxas didn’t really get what any of them were talking about. He was worried about why Sora didn’t come back from the darkness like this woman and Riku did. But they weren’t solving anything just standing around and talking. “Then let’s just go already,” he said impatiently. “If Xehanort attacks, we’ll just fight back.”
Aqua wore a frown, but she nodded. If Sora could open the door once, he could probably do it again. For now, it was best to move forward as best they could. “Follow me.”

Sora grabbed Riku’s arm as he shot to his feet. The masked man’s state of mind had gone mad, worse than the craziness he displayed outside this world of darkness. Something had triggered that change in him. Something here caused the change. But at the moment, they needed to get away before the man found them. In that state, he was far too dangerous to deal with. Sora yanked on Riku’s arm, dragging him along as he ran down the narrow, winding path through the darkness.
“Sora, what did you do?” Riku asked warily, not liking the way that man yelled at them. The world was still shaking.
Sora shook his head. He still had no understanding of all of this. He still didn’t understand why he got dragged into all of this. And now, he had dragged Riku into it. “I don’t know. But Aqua knows where he lies.”
Riku dug his foot into the ground, forcing Sora to stop. “Who or what is Aqua? Where who lies?”
“I don’t know,” Sora snapped in frustration. The deeper he got into this mess, the less he felt he actually knew. “I can’t explain it. But something is telling me that we need to find Aqua. She’ll know the way.” Sora’s gaze slid away from Riku’s confused expression to stare behind him. “Um, Riku…”
“What?” Riku’s frown deepened.
“Run!”
Sora spun on his heel and raced in the direction they were heading before Riku stopped them. Puzzled, Riku glanced behind him. The narrow path behind him started to crumble away. They wouldn’t be able to turn around if they found out they were going the wrong way. Riku took off, hurrying to catch up with Sora. The crumbling was right on his heel as he started running. But as his speed increased, he greatly increased the distance between him and the crumbling of the path. What worried him most was that they hadn’t seen or heard that man since his outburst. Catching up to his friend, Riku saw that worry reflected on Sora’s face.
There was no telling how much time passed as they ran down the path. Years could have gone by in the blink of an eye. The trembling of the world lessened, and crumbling of the path faded in to the far distance behind them. But neither of them paused to see if the path was still falling apart. A smile flitted across Sora’s face. Despite the dire nature of their situation, this – running alongside Riku – felt like old times, if they had been on a beach rather than in a world with nothing to see but endless darkness.
The path opened up before them, and they slowed their run then walked. It seemed the man’s rage had yet to touch upon this area. Sora glanced around at the twisted stone formations around them, arcing overhead and diving into the gray colored sand beneath their feet. Sora dug a foot into the sand, finding it strange that he had just thought about a beach and here they seemed to have come upon one. The sound of waves filled the quietness of the world. They came to edge of land with dark waves lapping at the shore. And there, a woman sat staring out at the emptiness of the sea.
“Aqua?” Sora tried hesitantly as they came to a stop behind where she sat. Riku remained silent, waiting to see how this would play out.
The woman turned to face them as she brushed a blue lock of hair out of her face. She stared at them blankly for a moment then stood and dusted herself off. “Yes?” she replied, seeming confused by their appearance.
“Okay. That clears up one point,” Riku said, frowning. “But you said Aqua knows where he lies.” He looked toward the woman, not sure that they could trust her.
The statement left Aqua confused. “Who are you two? What are you doing here?” She didn’t know how long she had been in this place, but no one else had ever come here.
“I’m Sora, and this is Riku,” Sora answered. “We got pulled in here by this man in a mask.” He decided not to mention that the man happened to look a lot like him.
Aqua touched her hands to her mouth in a look of surprise. “Not you too!”
Sora nodded. “We need to get you out of here. You know where someone is. I don’t know who or why he’s important, but somehow it relates to what Xehanort is planning.”
“But there’s no way out of here,” Aqua said, worry lines creasing across her brow. She had wandered this world for so long, but stretched on endlessly.
His Keyblade appeared in his hand. “Huh?” Sora blinked down at it, and it suddenly tugged his arm up. “Uh, what’s going on?” A beam of light suddenly shot forth from his Keyblade. Something clanked, like a door unlocking, and a portal of light appeared before them.
“That seems too convenient,” Riku said, frowning again.
Sora began to wonder if that frown was glued onto his face. “But if it’s a way out, we should take it.”
“As a door of light, it should be safe,” Aqua said. “And it’s one of Sora’s creation.” Her head tilted thoughtfully, like she was trying to piece together how he managed to unlock the path. But Sora wouldn’t have been able to help her figure out that answer. He had no idea. It just happened. “I’ll go first,” she said, taking not of Riku’s hesitance. She stepped through the door of light then waved for them to follow.
Riku glanced at Sora, still uncertain. But at Sora’s wide grin, Riku sighed and followed Aqua through the door of light. Sora started to follow but jumped quickly out of the way as a Keyblade descended on the spot where he had stood. He stared wide eyed at the man. The man had changed in appearance. He was as black as a shadow, smoky wisps seeming to rise from his body. His eyes glowed golden. Sora leaped into action. He thrust his Keyblade at the man, who mirrored his attack. Sora felt the Keyblade connect, but at the same moment, he felt the man’s Keyblade pierce him.
“Sora!” Riku shouted in panic when he saw what happened through the still opened doorway. Sora glanced at him and smiled before light and dark exploded, sparks of both swirling in the emptiness of the world. Riku ran toward them, but the door connecting the two worlds closed before he could return to the world of darkness. His heart stopped as he stared at the spot where his friend had disappeared.

Roxas merely stared at the man as he remained on his back on the ground. The man’s brow creased as he bent down and stared almost too intently at Roxas. “What?” Roxas asked slowly, trying not to squirm under the man’s gaze. He didn’t like the way the man kept staring at him. He tried to take his mind off it by reviewing what happened. “Sora!” Roxas sat up suddenly, recalling how Sora vanished into the darkness. But with the man leaning over him, Roxas rammed his head into the man’s head. He bent over, head in his hands. That had really hurt!
“I guess you’re not Ventus then,” the man said then sighed.
“Roxas rubbed his forehead as he turned to stare at him. The man also held his head with a pained expression on his face. “Who is this Ventus guy?” Roxas demanded grumpily. “My name is Roxas.”
The man sighed, hanging his head in disappointment. Something about that made Roxas bristle with anger. “You look exactly like Ventus.” The man got to his feet then held out a hand to Roxas. “I’m Terra.”
Roxas didn’t really need the help, but he accepted the hand anyway. Terra pulled him to his feet. Roxas’s gaze slid back to where the darkness swallowed Sora. “That masked man,” he grumbled, anger making his shoulders tremble. “Just when I had found another Keyblade bearer.”
Cool metal pressed against his cheek. Roxas jumped away. The Keyblade appeared in his hand as he spun to face the man. He glared at the light smile on Terra’s face. Then he took note of the Keyblade in Terra’s hand. His mouth opened and worked up and down, but he couldn’t seem to form words. This man had a Keyblade too?
“It’s scary how much you looked like him just then,” Terra said, a fondness in his voice. This Ventus person was apparently very important to Terra.
Roxas scowled at him. “I’m Roxas! I’m no one else. I’m not this Ventus person.” He glared as his grip tightened around the hilt of his Keyblade.
Terra’s Keyblade disappeared. A frown settled on his face. “I didn’t mean to insult you.” He sighed as he scratched the back of his head. “Ventus was always like a little brother to me. Then we come here, and Xehanort drives us apart. I’ve been searching for him ever since we tried to fight Xehanort.”
Roxas hesitated then let his Keyblade vanish. “I guess we have a common enemy.” He frowned, tugging absently at his bangs. Did he really look like that Ventus person? That was strange. He didn’t have any siblings, much less a twin. The subject made him uncomfortable. His mind slipped back to Sora. “We need to get Sora back.” But he had no way of knowing where the lookalike took Sora.
“So that was Sora,” Terra said thoughtfully. “Getting him back won’t be easy. I doubt there’s much we can even do to find him. But Riku’s with him.” He said it like that made everything all right.
“So what, we just wait around hoping for him to come back from the darkness?” Roxas demanded, anger rising to his blue eyes.
“He was taken into the darkness,” Terra reminded him. “Unless you want to wander endlessly through the darkness to look for him, it’s better to just wait.”
Roxas didn’t like the idea of waiting, but he liked the prospect of eternal wandering in darkness even less. He blanched at the thought of it. “Will they be able to get out of the darkness?”
“I don’t know.” Terra frowned with grimness about his face. “I haven’t known anyone to make it out of the darkness.” Sorrow flickered in his eyes.
---
Groaning and wincing, Sora slowly cracked open his eyes. His head pounded, and his body ached. The darkness around him provided a little relief in that there was no blinding light to sear his eyes. He opened them all the way to get a better look at his surroundings. Sora sat up, forgetting how much he hurt. Darkness stretched on as far as he could see. “Where am I?” he whispered, partially awed but mostly afraid. All he remembered was being strangled by the man who looked eerily similar to him. And that fact kept prodding at his brain like a nagging itch that couldn’t be reached.
“Dragged into the darkness.”
“Ri-Ah!” Sora doubled over, fingers digging into his scalp as pain blossomed in his head.
“Sora!” Riku knelt at Sora’s side, worried about his friend.
The pain ebbed away a little as Riku pressed a cool hand to Sora’s forehead. He stared up at Riku. His brilliant blue eyes glistened with the agony he felt. “I thought you hated me.” His voice was small and trembled. Images assaulted his mind. Some of them went by too quickly for him to see. Other images lingered and burned into his memory. Some were pleasant; others terrible to behold. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision of Riku’s concerned face. What was this? Why was he seeing these things?
Riku sighed. “I wasn’t mad at you. Not really. I just really needed to get away for a while.”
Why? The question repeated in Sora’s mind. The images were going by slower, becoming fewer. Were they going backwards? The pain lessened to a tolerable level. Sora sat up with a hand to his head. His eyes widened as the end of the images came closer. Flashes from his childhood drifted leisurely through his head. But these were… forgotten memories? No, not forgotten. Buried? Hidden? Missing? Why were they coming back now? Sora gripped the crown charm of his necklace tightly. “Oh man! How could I have forgotten you, Riku?” His brow knitted with regret. He felt terrible for forgetting Riku.
But Riku laughed. “I guess you hit your head pretty hard when you fell.”
“I got three stitches,” Sora said proudly.
“You!” roared another person. Sora recognized the voice immediately. It belonged to the masked man. “How dare you!” The ground beneath Sora and Riku shook, the whole world of darkness trembling with the man’s rage.

Sorry I have been dead. Way too much stress here and there, being sick, getting injured, dealing with family bullshit like always (when is that not a surprise), homework piling up on me, so yeah.
The majority of it is just family bullshit and homework piling up on me.
First of all I’d like to let you people know that if we were friends on FB that I did NOT purposely delete you. I ended up mass deleting everyone on accident as I was trying to answer a message on there with my phone and I guess they updated some of the software or something so I can not access FB on my phone now. Which majorly sucks since that’s how I get in touch with some of my friends who don’t have a cell phone or don’t text or don’t have gmail or skype. So please add me back to your friends list.
So in other news my brother wants to leave with his friend Matt when he goes back to Salt Lake city. Well I hope he doesn’t get in trouble with the law. That’s all I got to say to that. I really don’t care.
About 3 Fridays ago I fell and scraped up my knee. I also ended up bruising the bone and muscle in my knee, so I’m still in slight pain from my fall but it’s only when I sneeze or shiver that my knee hurts. The scab has healed up really nicely considering how much I’ve been fucking picking at it lol. I remember I saved the first picking of the scab when I first picked it off. I also have a few other scab pickings saved up. Why? I don’t really know. I thought it would’ve been cool at the time.
I just found out when I went to get my mom a clean shirt from the garage that my sister’s been stealing my underwear. Why I have no fucking clue. See I could understand if she took my shirts, jackets or socks they’re fucking sick! Hell I’d steal my own shit lol. I can even understand her taking my bra’s to sew them to her size and stuff them to make her non existent tits look huge. But my underwear? I’m like what 5 or 6 sizes bigger than her for pants. I think she’s like a size 10 and I’m a size 22 in womens so of course my stuff is gonna be fucking bigger than her so why the fuck is she taking them? And it’s not like they’re sexy thongs or boy cuts. Hell if anything I have granny panties (TMI I know). It just baffles me.
Anyways. I’ve been dead as my title suggests mostly because as I’ve explained that I’ve been under a lot of stress. Mostly with my family (as shown in the passages above) and with a lot of school stuff. The best way I can describe it is I’ve been feeling burnt out and tired of going to school. It seems pretty pointless to me because I’m don’t feel like I’m learning anything and all I’m doing is going to school, watching my younger brothers, cleaning and house work. I hardly get to hang out with my friends. I think since I came back in January, I’ve only hung out with Steph and the Twin, the twin got two days and Steph has gotten about 3 days. So that’s a total of 5 times I’ve been able to hang out with my friends. So it bugs me that I don’t do that as much since that was one of the conditions of me being able to come back here.
So I’m tired of going to school, I’m stressed to the point where I might give myself ulcers because of homework loads. I mean I like my classes except the reading class because the teacher is just so weird and tries to be funny and acts like we’re a bunch of fucking idiots, math class is ok, all we mostly do is take notes and then exams, the homework is online so its not that bad and that teacher doesn’t particularly believe in us either as she offered anyone who gets a 95 on the next test she’ll get them any drink of any size from Starbucks. My writing teacher isn’t that bad. I just don’t like the fact that we have to work with a novel to get our ideas, but then again I like creating stuff from my own head way better than using someone else’s ideas.
Then my dad tells me that there aren’t going to be any classes at the college for summer because of the budget cuts. I’m like FUCK YES! Then on Thursday he asks me and my brother “Have you looked at the summer schedule yet?” I thought what the fuck? You need to get your shit straight. Either there’s no summer classes or there are. What is it.
Then just having to deal with my brother and sister making fun of me like always and now my younger brothers too. I know I’m big but shit you have to fucking rub it in. Then a certain friend is getting on my case because apparently I see submission as love and its not supposed to be love. I also suffer from PCS or Prince Charming Syndrome and that I need to over come that and become an independent woman and blah blah blah. Then other people won’t shut the fuck up about shit and I’m getting bugged by it. Others who act like they’re emo but they aint got shit on emo. IF you want emo fucking come live in my house for a fucking day because I know you wont be able to survive the week. Then come back and tell me shit. I’m just fucking sick of it all. I don’t care about you’re problems as I’m sure none of you care about mine. So yeah. /rant
Well good news is Kuma has a doctor’s app for the 30th and then he’ll be able to get his learner’s permit and then his driver’s license to get a job. So that’s always good. As far as when I’m leaving to see him for the summer is tentative since its dependant on him having a job by then, but we’re still planning it for the week after finals or the first week of June. I’ll most likely be leaving nibblets here at the house but I told him that if he can see about the info about pet shipping then I’ll make my final decision then. So that’s also in the air.
As far as getting a new phone that seems HIGHLY UNLIKELY as I have to wait til August to upgrade this phone or to see if my mom will want to switch carriers after the end of this contract which won’t be til next year when it ends. Or I wait until Kuma can get me one. Though again I’m not gonna hold my breath for either of them. So I’m most likely gonna be stuck with this piece of shit of a phone until it just completely dies on me like the other phone I had before this one. It kinda sucks cuz I’m really starting to hate this phone so much. I can’t listen to my music on my Micro SD card, sometimes when someone calls me I can’t hear them and have to hang up and call them back before they call me back or else my phone just vibrates like crazy and I have to take the battery out, I can’t access facebook, I sometimes don’t get text messages at all, and I’ve faded off all the keys on my phone to the point where a guy who worked for Sprint said, “In all 6 years I’ve been working here at Sprint never have I seen keys so faded off like this.” And not to mention the dead spots. I Hate the fucking dead spots.
Well that’s about it for now. I’m gonna try to update again at least once a week on Saturday or Sunday.
