This is quite delayed, but this actually happened on Monday--two days ago. Just lettin' you people know. Those of you that ever read this.
So in algebra class, we were put into partners. My partner was Karli (it was really supposed to be Kyle, but she made him trade with her so she'd have me as a partner--apparently, I'm the Math Wiz xD) Karli is sitting next to me and Tony is sitting in front of her. Just to make things clear--Karli is to my left and Tony is in front of Karli.
Mr. Shay is talking and we're sitting in the back--although where we sit, I don't think that's going to ever stop Karli from doodling anyways--and Karli takes out a blank piece of paper and starts doodling random characters. Me, being as nosy as I was, looked at her drawing (I really meant to just glance at it, but I just so happened to actually have BAD EYESIGHT so I had to look at the doodle and not just give it a quick glance that I meant to).
"Aww... that's cute." I told her. In my point of view, it WAS. In someone else's though, it might be creepy *shrugs* I dont' know. But it was preeeeeeetty cute in my eyes.
Then Tony turned around and asked, "Is that supposed to be Yee Fang?"
I remember him sounding like it was an insult, so I spat back at him, "No--it's you."
And I immediately forget that I was referring to him thinking it was ugly and in my head I'm like: "Oh no... did I just indirectly call you cute?"
I told Rae about this and she's like: "Well he called you cute first."
"I swear he didn't hear me!" I exclaimed. Although I knew Rae was probably right. It's not that I don't like Tony or anything--he's pretty decent a guy. On the other hand, he's a jock--dude, you can just SEE it when you meet him; his body shape proves it... Not that he's extremely macho or anything--and I'm just this short person that has a wide sense of style. It's awkward for me when people call me cute. Usually it's weird... or creepy... or scary... or weird...
And after he said that, a good five or so minutes later, Karli looks at my T-shirt and asks: "Why are there hairy people on your shirt?"
"They're a symbol for some rock band... but I have no idea which band." I told her.
"Why are you looking at her boobs?" Tony asked.
"Because I LIKE boobs." Karli said. This actually--honestly--made me laugh. And then Karli laughed. And... I forgot what Tony did.
Then Tony tells me: "Well I like looking at your fishnets better."
"Uh... Awkward..." was my response.
Yup. Awkward day in Algebra...
