I didn't realize that I hadn't made a blog post in a year...wow

Well, alot has changed. I'm not going to be a biologist anymore. It turns out that I love engineering!
After my fundamental engineering courses were over, my professors asked for me specifically to start a new tutoring program with our SI program. Considering that the class I had with them had 500 people in it, I'm honored!
I have a wonderful boyfriend that goes to school with me. He's also in engineering and also lives here in my hometown. He's so sweet, nice, and funny! Not to mention that he can actually handle my dad's strange sense of humor.
One of my best friends is going to be my roommate next year! Last year I had a random roommate, and while she was nice, we had no common ground. We got along well enough. But now [codename] Jane and I are going to be living together! We've had to live together in the same house before, so we know it won't be hard!

But he needs his dad to set up the internet for his [strike]new girlfriend[/strike] computer. (I am convinced he loves it more than me!) So I have to wait for his dad to get home to come over, because OH LORD WE MIGHT HAVE SEX~~ and then the world will explode.

Meanwhile, my sister is a whore. I told her to walk the dog, so what does she do? Refuse and then lock herself upstairs in Mom's room so I can't force her to walk the dog. Perfect. Meanwhile, the poor dog is suffering.
I'd have done it myself, but I'm cramping (despite not being on my period) and I have a headache and a stomachache. I decided I'd rather do the dishes and make HER walk the dog, and she could just get the fuck over it... but apparently no. :\

WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT? It only takes ten fucking minutes!

[COLOR=#0F8A7D][SIZE="1"]Why doesn't the Megavideo time limit ever reset itself? Seriously. I was watching videos yesterday, didn't quite run up my time, and now I'm hitting my 72 min limit today. :\ Not cool.
Megavideo (and Megaupload) sucks anyway. Stop with the pop-up ads already.

As a side note, I think my boyfriend has died because I haven't heard from him in two days. >_>
He hasn't answered my texts or been online at all. I'm sure he's just busy, but still... weird.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

[LEFT][COLOR="RoyalBlue"][B]I haven't been to a concert since I left Maryland where I use to go to Fletcher's and St.Johns Hamilton to listen to local bands preform. And ever since we've moved I haven't been to one.

That is until Chase Coy came to town. Chase Coy is this amazing singer that I got into about a year or so ago. And since then I've come to love all his wonderful songs.

Now he's on tour with Stephen Jerzak, Romance On A Rocketship, and BREATHE ELECTRIC. Stephen Jerzak was the main act and the last. Though as soon as he came on my friend and I looked at each other and left. He was horrible in my opinion, not a good night for him I suppose?

Anyways, Chase was just amazing. The friend I came with had never been to a concert before so he was her first. He was extremely nice and played amazing. He made me realize how much I miss live performances. I can't wait for him to come back cause I will be sure to come again.

[COLOR=#0F8A7D][SIZE="1"][COLOR=#0F8A7D][SIZE="1"]Me and my boyfriend's anniversary is coming up on the twentieth. For more than a month we've been planning a trip up to Grand Lake for said anniversary. All was well and dandy up until about... maybe about two weeks ago, when my boyfriend started to go "oh wait, this costs MONEY."

It's never been a secret that this trip is going to be pretty expensive, and I've been rather upfront about the fact that I have very little money. He always seemed okay with shouldering most of the cost, though, so I figured he had it worked out. You see, he's been saving up for a laptop rather diligently and the trip money would be coming from his savings... but I figured he knew that and was okay with it.

Apparently, I was wrong, because he started to realize eventually that he couldn't get both the laptop and go on the trip at the same time. Ultimately, he ended up blowing off the trip (since apparently we had our hearts set on Grand Lake and couldn't go to a cheaper town) and buying his computer instead.


Well... I'm sort of upset. I mean, it is his money and obviously it's his to spend how he pleases, but why the hell didn't he realize that the two were going to conflict sooner?! It's just a matter of basic math to figure out that there isn't enough money for both, and he plans things like nuts. I'm just irritated that he came across this little revelation so late in the game.

And what really gets me, I guess, is that he doesn't even NEED this computer. He says he does, but the fact of the matter is he doesn't. It sucks that his laptop recently broke down, but he does have easy access to another computer. Considering that he hasn't made any steps towards going back to college, I wouldn't say he has a desperate need for a computer to work on film stuff. He hasn't even done a side project in months.
I'm not all bent out of shape over this or anything, but it hurt a little that he blew off the entire trip because he wanted his computer NAO.

For the record, said trip would not have wiped out his savings.. he just would have had to wait maybe another month to buy his computer.

But then again, he's always exaggerating how much he NEEDS things. Rather than saving up to, say, MOVE OUT OF HIS DAD'S HOUSE, he wants to save up to buy some sort of Adobe suite. The icing on the cake is that he asked me to help him pay for it.. and I don't even have enough money to buy us Taco Bell. Sorry, but I have absolutely no fucking income at all. Any money I can save is staying in my savings account as emergency money, hopefully to go towards something like an apartment or college. It seems no matter how often I remind him that he has a lot of things that need paying for before buying all this fancy film equipment, he never stops going on about how much he needs it. I mean, he will need it EVENTUALLY, but right now he should be working on getting a car or something. :\ His heart's in the right place, I guess, but he only wants to save up for the fancy shiny toys. Well, if he's not going to listen to me then I guess I have to let him screw up before he'll start saving his money in a wise fashion.

(But what do I know? I'm just a stupid teenager who has no concept of real life.)
