I still haven't finished decorating the tree! Us procrastinators should have a club. We should think about it. Maybe next year.

So, Carrie fisher past. I hadn't read any of her books. But after seeing some snippets, I may. She seems quite witty and forthright. Reminds me of this hilarious author I read once. Her name is Fran something. Levine? Something Jewish, I believe. She loved her ciggies. Not Fran dressler. Horowitz? I found her ol once. I enjoyed her humor. And Carrie seems spot on with observations about her mom.

It's not snowing here, but I'm finding winter very miserable. Mainly it's my hair. Mr x doesn't like me to use a blow dryer on it. Tho I have a very beautiful purple one. I'm constantly sick nowadays with sneezing allergy, sinus headache, or tum upset. Not a happy, pink camper.

In other news, heard from bro. In high school he had a concave stomach. So thin it went in. But later he had expense account from work and was always lunching with clients. He ended up at 210. And he's rather short. Well, he walks nightly with gf and told me he's down to 170. Wow. And he wants to hit 160 next. Purty good, lil bro.

Hope everyone had a pleasant day. Our tree is beautiful with colored lights. Gf came by and dropped off gifts. One was sees candy. I quite indulged. Last night I craved chocolate. Found some old ones in freezer and gobbled it down. Fresh candy much nicer.

I was cleaning my room today. Vacuuming and organizing sox. Made a yam and Chinese soup. Watched more of downton Abbey.

My new book I'm reading is a favorite. A mystery in an old abandoned bank, with emphasis on juicy safe deposit boxes.

They're tracking him, I believe. Star trek is on. I haven't wrapped Mr xs gifts. It'll have to be tomorrow. And gf will drop by.

Been reading this autistic moms blogs. I read a years worth daily. What energy and motivation she has. That's 8 people. How much laundry is that? School lunches? Grocery shopping?

I'm wearing this thick corduroy L.L. Bean shirt. Bean clothes are well made. Too well made. They never wear out. I don't buy their stuff anymore, as I still have lots remaining.

Today I ordered from Amazon pantry. Very reasonable prices, free shipping. You need a yearly membership tho. Also included are free movies to watch. I'm finishing up downton Abbey. I can't believe the tentacles of Amazon. They keep expanding. I like them 97%. There're some instances of bunk or counterfeit goods. This Lauren perfume I got was fake. Also their phone batteries drive me nuts.

I wish I had some ice cream. Haven't been shopping cause I can't drive till new years. Started using up my tea collection. I'm working on my motel soap collection. And candle collection. The one I was using today was faulty. Think I trimmed wick too short.

My eye itches. Allergy. Feels so good to scratch it.

I'm antsy. I want something to eat or drink, but don't know what.

That's one of my fav songs. By Jose Feliciano. Usually when I hear it, it signifies Xmas. But my stations on classical, so I haven't heard it. I've got some Xmas cds. But don't know if cd player works. Now that it's cold, I don't feel like doing stuff. I like the idea of hibernation.

Finished the book on autism. It was good. Had this interesting friendship going on. But the guy was quirky. Untrusting. It would strain the friendship. You wonder if its easier to keep family or friends. With family, you do have the bond. But, maybe with friends you try harder?

What an enduring symbol. Kind of disappointing when you come of age. Lots of Santa's in the news. One was selling drugs, one comforted a dying child, one is autistic so understands autistic kids.

My latest book I'm reading is about 2 sisters. One has autism. Was just reading about it. The local Safeway store has baggers with varying degrees of disability. I like that they take their job seriously.
