Breaking Dawn came out yesterday (8-2-08) and I finished it around 6 pm yesterday afternoon which was much longer a time than I had been expecting to finish the book in. But I have some things I have to say about the book that kind of bothered me and I want to just get my opinions out there because I need to actually voice them to someone even if no one cares to listen to them.[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE][COLOR=DarkOrange]

[/COLOR][SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkOrange][B]As a single novel, Breaking Dawn was a good book. However, this only applies to the novel by itself rather than it being a conclusion to a series. The way this novel panned out introduced a whole new storyline that broke off from the typical styles and expected writings of the author, and while I must say that it was an alright book, the continuation of the plot from the first three books was absolutely dreadful.[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE][COLOR=DarkOrange]

[/COLOR][SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkOrange][B]I understand that there was a marriage and that there would be difficulties but I didn't think that Bella would end up pregnant and with a child that Jake would imprint on and be all lovey dovey with. I mean, come on. Why would you make Bella pregnant and then have her continually drink blood as a human? I mean, really, that's stupid. She hates the smell of blood, and even if that's what the baby was craving, wouldn't she still be bothered by the smell? It made her nauseous in the first three novels, so this was just a little stupid for me. And then what happened with naming the baby. That was lame. Renesmee (Renee and Esme)? Could Stephenie have come up with a lamer or more stupid name? I would rather she had gone with Carlie (Carlisle and Charlie) which she stated was the middle name because at least then I wouldn't have to force myself to read a dumb name for the baby. I was glad she put in a nickname for the poor kid because I would hate to have that name, seriously.[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE][COLOR=DarkOrange]

[/COLOR][SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkOrange][B]And what the hell at the final battle? I mean, gag me with a spoon. Nothing happened! Bella and her stupid little "shield" power saves the day from nothing. There was no attack or anything. No drama. The Volturi just came and left. And what the hell. I wanted to see some action or something especially since Seth said that Stephenie had to tone down the violence and stuff and they even considered putting a warning on this as it being a little more mature. I didn't see the need, but I mean, come on. There was just nothing to the ending! The Volturi don't just come all the way across the world to kill an immortal child and then leave without doing anything. There has to be some kind of action involved with them.[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE][COLOR=DarkOrange]

[/COLOR][SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkOrange][B]As a single book, I don't mind it really. I'm not entirely sure I feel like associating it with the Twilight series because it doesn't feel the same to me at all. That could be me being an upset fan, and though I do feel some kind of closure with the whole story, I'm just kind of upset. It wasn't the ending I thought I wanted. I just need some time to read it through again and go really slow with it so I can appreciate it I suppose, but it just didn't sit right with me. [/B][/COLOR][/SIZE]

Anyways, I'm excited to see the Admin's Pick today. I'm really hoping that it's a good one this week because I'm still just seeing lackluster avatars win and I'm getting a bit upset. There are such amazing avatars out there and they're all passed by because no one ever sees them or speaks up about them.
Er.. well I guess that's not always the case, but still, I can usually find avatars that I like better than the one that gets picked. I've been wanting Donna's avatar to win for a long time now. I know it's simple, but it's adorable. If you look at all the little details and stuff that she put into the outfit, it's really creative. And because I really don't like those shorts, she's made them something that I like by covering them up the right way. It's a shame she can't win again yet.

And so many others as well.

But it was fun to catch up. He's doing well, and well... I dunno. I think I'm going to try and visit more often to catch up with old friends like him. He was all flaunting his BBT by selling it because that's what he does xD He's such a turd sometimes.

And it made me want a new outfit, so I'm selling off my spare horns to get some gold there to buy stuff xD.
