It's Donna's birthday today! You should all wish her a happy birthday while she can still hear you. She'll be applying for hearing aides this year you know?!
Happy Birthday Donna! <33
I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight. Let me tell you, the performances by some of the actors in this movie about blew my mind! What villain can they possibly use next time that can outperform Heath Ledger's Joker? It'll be hard to do that's for sure. I wish I could describe better what I thought of the movie other than saying that it was amazing without giving anything away. I mean, I find that the movie in and of itself was just ok, but the way the actors worked together and the performances given throughout the movie, I have to say that the performances outshine the screenplay.
Once again, Christian Bale gives a good performance as Batman, and while I found him to be just a bit stale in this movie as opposed to the first one, I find that his portrayal of Batman is probably the best of all the Batmans to date. In this film, it's more of an internal struggle for him to figure out what he needs to do to save the day because of how the Joker toys with him. In the end, I found the solution to be a bit.. unfair to the character, but I'm able to live with it.
If Heath Ledger doesn't get the Oscar people are saying he'll be nominated for for this movie, then I don't know what the Academy Awards are coming to these days. This is truly one of his most amazing performances to date (in my personal opinion) and well worth the watch even if you're not a Batman fan. His portrayal and personal adaptation of the Joker by far exceeds anything that I was expecting. The unexpected turns that he takes in this movie and his range of emotion and overall appeal illuminate the screen every time he appears and truly truly shows his passion for what he did. It was an amazing last performance on his part. No one would have done the Joker the same justice in this film as him.
I was a little disappointed with Aaron Eckhart in this film. His performance was a bit lackluster for me, but his character, Harvey Dent (Two Face) worked for the plot. He had the most personal growth through the movie which was nice, but he should have been more of a minor character.
Overall, I feel that the movie by far exceeded my expectations having not liked the first film. The twists and turns were satisfying, albeit a little obvious at times, and kept my interest. The only downside to the film was that it was just a bit too long. They could have condensed it more, but it was well worth the money!

I remember her coming up with a rough outline for this event back when I was still on the staff with Rivayne, and how I thought the story would be fun. I hope that they can make it better than the Phoenix Jubilee though, because I wasn't so much a fan of that event. Too flowery for me.
And if this is the event I'm thinking of, then the items are going to be a fun theme! I remember roughly looking for items for this event and finding a bunch of amazing outfits and stuff that could have worked but CK could have changed it up a bit and reworked the themed of the individual ladies.
I need to save now, omg : D I have no gold for commons T___T Looks like it's back to the games for me. Tetris for half an hour every day is going to kill me. : (

I haven't been able to sleep all night so I got up and decided I would work on updating my Twilight thread, which needed a lot of work. I have to have a mod or someone move some posts so I can rework the layout a bit and then I need to work on fixing up and moving certain sections entirely. Let's just say it's not very pretty at the moment, but it's getting there.
I'm going to try and head back to sleep now that I've got a few things done with the thread though. See you all tomorrow!

Why do I bother trying to help when I feel like I'm ignored half the time? Am I really that big of a loser that I still continue to help when it does no good or just adds to the fire? I mean, seriously. Get over yourselves and start listening to me. I'm not trying to help for my own good. I could do without all the drama I get from it; the ungratefulness, the back talking, the "cold shoulder", the "friendly" (begrudging) thank you for your help.
Maybe I should stop and see where things go from there. Big improvements probably. Massive! Life changing most likely.
So have a nice day : )
