*commonly known as ‘Shadow Cats’ they are strange, immortal, cat like creatures that come from another plane of existence with power over shadows and spiritual energy. Very little is known about them and their intentions as they travel through the planes of existence at will. There is much known about the earth’s Senka’Nee…a corrupted tribe formed by an outcast who was bound to earth and stripped of his immortality. He often kidnaps women to impregnate them only to steal the child on its eighteenth birthday to sacrifice in order to temporarily gain the immortality that was taken from him. Due to this and other things he has done as well as allowed his ruthless tribe to do, rapes and murders being some of the kinder crimes, he has earned the Senka’Nee the reputation of being evil and a harbinger of disaster.

[B]Height:[/B] 5’11’’

[B]Build: [/B] Slender, Athletic, with cat like muscles visible under her skin but still with slightly larger than average curves. Her limbs also seem slightly longer than they should be, once again reminding one of a cat.

[B]Appearance:[/B] [url=http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g192/stariamoon/Art%20by%20hand/Januthumbnail.png]She[/url] is a beautiful, exotic, but strange looking woman even in the mostly human form she tends to retain. Her furless skin is white as snow and seems to reflect moonlight with a slightly silver sheen. Her eyes are rimmed with long lashes dark as midnight but are so pale a blue they look like shards of ice, and her lips are black as night. Her black hair is short, ending just below her chin and straight as rain.

From this hair pokes two cat like ears, covered in thick fur, matching a long cat like tail. She has long black nails that resemble claws and in fact hide real claws. She tends to wear simple clothing of brown, black, or other neutrals unless she’s dressing up in which case she favors blue. She always carries a sword at her side or a small blade on her person somewhere.

[B]Scars/Tattoos/Birthmarks:[/B] She has no scars or tattoos but a small gray birthmark near the top of her right butt cheek that looks almost like a heart.

[B]Piercings:[/B] Two sets in her ears, one at the bottom for heavy earrings and a higher set for small light hoops.

[B]Occupation:[/B] Wanderer and general jack of all trades. She tends to work as whatever she can find, from cleaning woman to construction worker. The only work she can’t do is cook

[B]Personality:[/B] She is by nature shy and withdrawn but has an inner strength that one can see if they push her. She can be an actress to survive but due to her natural shyness it is easy to cause her to lose her mask with a little flirting or unexpected closeness. She tends to keep to herself, feeling awkward in social situations. She prefers to be alone or with close friends.

[B]History: [/B] Her mother disappeared for nine months, only to return with no memory of the events and so pregnant with Janu she was about to give birth. Once she did so she found her child had chalk white skin and the shadows behaved strangely around her. Still her mother and her mother’s family loved her without any reservation. The small town they lived in, however, was not so pleased. If her Uncle, whom she adored and followed around, hadn’t been a war hero she or her family may have been killed.

When she turned sixteen one of her father’s men came to collect her, fearing she’d leave the town before he could take her. Her uncle fought him off using a sword enchanted with light to fight off the beast. The beast yelled that they would see ‘the monster they were protecting’ and transformed her to her full furry, half human form with cat like face before he fled.

Janu, fearing what the town would do to her family, fled. It took her years to come to terms with herself esteem enough to realize she could overcome the curse as well. She found she could shape-shift at will once she no longer believed she was a monster and believed she could be beautiful as she was. Over those years her father has been seeking her, desiring her blood to extend his own life. Due to this she never stays in one place too long…
