July contribution items: Harpy and Retrobot are here!
 

My dear granddaughter Cecilia got a package from her parents this week. A beautiful storybook with wonderful illustrations of mythological creatures and a reproduction of an old wind-up toy like what I had as a boy. She was utterly delighted with her gifts and wanted to share them with the rest of Menewsha - so I present to you the Harpy and Retrobot sets.


The Harpy is a mythical creature fathered by Zephyros and meant to be a personification of the destructive force of the wind. A famous story of a group of harpies is how they assisted in the punishment of a prophet who told too much. This angered a god who provided a self-refreshing banquet for the prophet and then had the harpies steal food from him whenever he tried to eat.

If you would like to masquerade as one of these violent children of the wind, you have a choice of wings, tail and head feathers in a vibrant shade to show off in, or a more neutral brown. Plus three shades of bird's feet to suit your fancy.

Who's this metal chappy then? Retrobot takes us on a playful journey back to the early days of science fiction - though it doesn't seem that long ago to me! You can dress up in his metal suit and clank about to your heart's content. You'll have to provide your own dodgy special effects, however.

Retrobot comes with many separate parts: Body, head, legs, feet and individually equipable arms. Additional facial and head features, a couple of choice comments and a means to recharge if his energy starts to flag!

To obtain the Harpy and Retrobot Contribution Items, you will first need to purchase some Mennies using either PayPal, credit card, SMS/text, or by sending an order via snail mail. Once you have your Mennies, take a trip over to our CI Shop and trade your Mennies for the items you would like! If Menewsha gold is your only option, wander over to the Exchange forum. Whichever method of grabbing these items, you'll want to hurry before these items leave the CI Shop forever on July 31st!

I really love the Harpy one. And the Retrobot is a very interesting concept. Robots are awesome. Hmm... I can imagine a Robo-Harpy already.

These items are to die for. Harpy is GORGEOUS! gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! And Retrobot is really adorable and playful. I can't wait to find a set to play with!~

as said before I think they're nice, but I can't spend RL money on it so I won't ever get them. Try making some nice items for people like me

I have some mennies but I might save them until next month. None of these scream out to me 'Buy me!' so I'm not sure. Although, they are really really good items I know that. I just don't know if these particular items will be worth it for me.

Can anyone tell me about the robot one- The robot skin, does it have to come with the mask or are all the parts of the skin equipped seperately?

Yup, Retrobot has a TON of different options!
