I think it's such an interesting idea!!!!

I think it's pretty nifty. If nothing else, activity will increase on the first a bit more. XD

Huh....while it sounds like a useful idea, I'm afraid that it might cause some inflation in the CI prices, and since it's inflated quite a bit back from when I first played in '07, it might not be happy.

But, trying it out once can't hurt, and if there's a large amount of inflation, I'm sure you guys will see that and perhaps think of a different fun way to do things.

And more importantly, it will generate more activity on the site which is MUCH NEEDED and I certainly wouldn't mind a little inflation if I had more people to talk to!

This is an interesting idea and I think that trying it out is well worth it.

I don't really foresee this causing much inflation if any since it will be for a 24 hour period one day a month.

It's not difficult to do, just not easy to do at a time that's similar to the items being released. But having said that, the CI release time is a bit strange, considering it's in the middle of the night! It would make a whole lot more sense to have them come out in the afternoon/early evening, I'd have thought :ninja:

The midnight release makes sense to me. Considering that it's a new day for the server, I can see the logic in releasing them at midnight. That way, older CIs are gone and new CIs replace them on the 1st. That, or it's just the literal action of, "They will be gone on the first."

Hm, I'm not sure I'm for this idea. It seems a lot like bribery to get people to post, yet I feel the only people who are really going to know about this and take advantage of it are the people who are already here and posting anyway.

Then there's the injection of more gold into a small economy. One of the things I've been happiest about with Menewsha is the lack of super inflation, unlike a couple of other avatar sites I've been part of. There needs to be balance. If you add gold to the economy, then you need to also create a gold sink that will, in theory equal the amount going in. For instance, being able to buy Mennies with Zennies - even for a super high rate. (mind you, that's just a toss out idea, not an actual suggestion for this case)

But I just don't want to see bad side effects from trying to coax people into posting more. There hasn't been a big event in quite a while, and that was always the biggest post draw.

It's a once a month thing, it's not permanent.

I love this! At first, I stared at my gold amount for a few seconds and wondered what was going on... Like that can't be right!

It's good that it's only the first of each month, makes it kind of a reward and motivation for being on when the CIs are released.

But yeah... The gold sink drains my gold supplies. A lot.

Wow, this sounds really awesome! ^_^; I am still thinking about whether or not if I should buy CIs with gold or Mennies. :)
