Did you notice you were earning more gold the last few days?

Well, there's a reason for that! :D A few days ago, we increased the gold earning limit for posts from 30 to 50 gold per post and the gold earned per character from 0.03 to 0.04.

That means those people who get out there and get chatty with the community can earn a whole lot more than before!

It also means that on double gold day (the day a new Contribution Item is released), you can earn up to 100 gold per post!

So dive right in and say hello to someone you haven't yet! Or if you're feeling too shy to make new friends so boldly, check out the General Discussion forums and make threads about why X is the best thing since Y!

Say, how much does one need to post to reach the max anywho? I don't really pay attention to how much I get per post, so I have no idea if my particularly chatty conversation posts reach the maximum or if I would have to post some sprawling epic to hit it.

I was wondering how I managed to get 100g gold for an RP post I made! And why I felt like I was making more gold per post but at the same time it didn't feel like it was double gold-more. This explains it. Thanks!

wow that is really exciting! i dont normally make a post that is long enough to earn 50 gold, but its great to know that when i do randomly, i will get 50 gold. this is great for those really long posts in the role playing games i tend to play randomly.

According to Scrivener, your post above is 52 words made up of 256 characters. That means you earned 10.24 gold for that post. Should give you a ballpark of how much you'd have to post to earn all 50 gold for a post. ;)

EDIT: Though, now that I think of it, Scrivener probably counts punctuation as characters. Ah... After checking, it counts spaces too. LET ME DO THE MATH OVER AGAIN. HANG ON A SEC.
