The Orchid has already bloomed - no worries! It's the blooming of the first orchid in the gardens that triggers the event. Nalin saw it bloomed in the garden, informed Mr. Mayor and Mr. Mayor informed everyone when the celebration would be - that's how it works. :)

There's no telling what color it will bloom on any particular year. :) The only way to know for this year is to visit the Gardens, and Nalin and Mr. Mayor seem to be keeping the surprise to themselves so far. :)
