Enlarged Images [Lock please]

My goodness, those big red letters are incredibly large and distracting!

Moving on:
I've noticed that my images on Menewsha are somehow being enlarged. I made sure this was only happening on Mene, because it could have just been my computer (which it could be, because so far it's only happened to me on my lap top) or browser, but all other websites seem to keep their images the same size (the size they're supposed to be).

Now, the images don't get enlarged to ridiculous proportions, but it's noticeable because the images become blurred, and that really bothers me. Even with my glasses the images don't look right. Is there a way to fix this? I'm tired of my pixels looking fuzzy and strange. Even the image on the Home page looks wrong.

Are you referring to images that you use the image tag with, images you upload to your Mene album, or both/any and all?

MurasakiCrown 10-25-2008 11:33 PM

So far, it's been avatars, things I've uploaded on image-hosting websites, and any images on Menewsha, such as the front page, and the shop images. Even the small buttons in the posting box get blurred.

Could you post a screenshot? What browser are you using...? Because that's not happening to me. ^^;

I'll edit this post in a bit. Woah.. now everything is going funky. I'm getting some sort of black background. I'll post a screenshot of that too.

Oh, and I'm using Firefox

EDIT:
Here's a comparison. The one on the right is what happens when I click "view image" on my avi. It stays at the right size for a few seconds but after a while it also enlarges.

And here are the weird colors I'm getting now:

Posted as links because I don't want to stretch the page ._.

Kenny is changing the board. If I could actually post, I'd tell you that.... oh, looks like it is back on :)

About your last post, yeah, everything's looking messed up. Black background where it should be blue, and the background of actual posts is gray. It's weird, I'm wondering what's going on.

Did a piece of coding break somewhere? I'm using IE (I hate IE, but I can't download firefox on this computer and mine's busted), but my friend using firefox is seeing the same messed up colors.

Edit: Ah, alright then! Will the white background be gone, too? Because the black > white > gray really hurts my eyes. >.< Is this a Halloween thing?

MurasakiCrown 10-26-2008 05:15 AM

Ah, the colors are normal again, so never mind about that bit, but I've still got bigger images. Usually, they're normal for a very split second right after my browser enters the website, and then they "blow up". Sometimes I don't even see the images enlarge. They're just large already.

Mama Juru 10-26-2008 05:15 AM

At the moment I'm not sure. He's still working in the event forum. We're getting everything ready for tomorrow :)

Yeah, they just turned normal again for me too.

I haven't noticed any big images, I'm sorry. Are you using IE? Mabe you're viewing the page at something bigger than 100%?

Omi 10-26-2008 05:21 AM

Is it Firefox V3.0? From what I've been finding, there's been some issues with the color management with that version that may cause image problems.

Firefox XD

It's weird though. Only Menewsha is affected. DeviantArt is fine, among other websites

EDIT: Omi, Yes I am! Does this mean I'll have to re-install an earlier version of Firefox for things to work for me?

Insane Cricket 10-26-2008 05:25 AM

Huh. No clue then. Sorry. =S Did you hold down ctrl and use the scroll wheel on yoru mouse accidentally? o.O

MurasakiCrown 10-26-2008 05:28 AM

Oh, I don't recall, but I'm playing with it and it seems to have worked. I feel silly now >////////< This happened a few weeks ago but I just now went over the top. I couldn't even remember how this happened o.e. This is why I hate touch pads. Mine has a scroll bar on it so that when I'm moving up and down random stuff happens.

Thank you Cricket~

Omi 10-26-2008 05:30 AM

XD At least its fixed! Hurray! Thanks, Cricket! :3 We probably would have been stuck thinking it was the browser otherwise.

Insane Cricket 10-26-2008 05:33 AM

Lol! Yeah, it happened to me about a year ago. XD Glad I could help.
