I was trying to buy Pink Cutie Shoes and I had exactly 140.00 gold.
And of course, the shoes are 140 gold.
I clicked on the purchase button, but it said I don't have enough gold.
I played a quick game of Chopper Challenge and got an extra 2 gold.
It worked then, but I just thought that was odd how it wouldn't let me before.....

Hmm. Odd, I havent had that issue before.

I tried a couple of times, but it didn't work with only 140 gold.
After I got a little more, it worked okay, and it didn't take out any extra gold when I purchased them.

That is rather odd. Perhaps the system just didn't want you to be left with 0 gold?

I seem to recall hearing about that from other people back "in the day."

I assumed at the time that it just has something to do with the way that the system calculates the necessary gold vs the remaining gold. I'd venture a guess that it would work with as little as .01 more than the item you're buying.

When you check out the shops will round your gold to the nearest one. It may say that you had 140 gold, when you really had 139.8 gold. (I believe when you go to change your avatar it has a rounded number listed under the avi as well)

I know in your case you said you had 140.00, I just wanted to bring up that at certain points around the site your gold is rounded off so you may have more or less than it says you do. :3

Yeah, the stores can't actually display decimals so you do have to bear that in mind :yes:

I know the store rounds it off.
But the gold count to the left of your avatar on every page is the correct amount.
And it said exactly 140.00 gold, I'm sure of it.
Ah well, not a big deal at all, I just thought it was interesting.
