I was wondering is it normal for a thread to be locked after only a little and not even getting any response? I posted a thread less than 20 min. ago in the exchange, no double post, requesting to buy some items, so why would it be locked?

I read the rules, didn't see anything wrong with it, can someone please clarify to me? o.o;

That's what they said I did, but I already had another admin tell me to put it closed, and I did exactly as I was told, I don't know why that's you know "right" when I did as I was told. You know :/ I guess I just think it's messed up that I did as I was told and still get a warning ya know?

>3>; and I am less than a week new and read the rules :< that's not fair, cause if I get froze I would really not like this place if it's that strict on it's own hypocrisy.

Well it could be the mod didnt know your thread was closed and just saw you had two threads. things like this happen. Just wait and give them time to explain the situation. Even mods/admins are human and make mistakes. >:3

D: Of course! But would they freeze or delete me if it was their mistake o.o; that would be like worrying :/ of course I know all humans make mistake... I just worry that other mistakes could lead to the loss of my account ya know? :<

Plus o.o; it was two different mods.

Plus :/ I can't have it in my old thread because it's two different things. I was told to close it because I was sold out of the items I was selling XD so I closed it, and had to open another after I closed it to buy some other items o.o;

D: I have to go offline now XO. I can just hope they will deal with the issue since I replied to the warning :/

They would not do something like that here ... not without a really good reason of justification. This is not Gaia. Just wait for a mod to reply to this thread and see what the details are. You have been here for a little so you know that mods are very active. I'm sure you will have an answer soon enough.

I have replied and explained it further to you in the PM, nikijay. Placing a 'CLOSED' in the title of your exchange thread doesn't mean it is locked. What the admin asked you to do was to place that status in your thread so you will not be continuously asked by users about selling something you have already sold.

If you are still not satisfied or feel that I am being unfair about this situation, you are free to contact one of the AAs about the issue.

Oh - no. I didn't mean for you to close your thread. ^^; I just meant you should change the title of it so people didn't think you were still selling August 2009 CIs.

We only allow one thread per user in the Exchange forum. So if you decide you're done selling and want to buy, you edit your first post (or the relevant post) on the first page of your thread and change the title to reflect what you're doing (whether that's selling something else, buying something, or not selling or buying at all).

Might want to hit up the Exchange forum rules and read those over. They're stickies in the Exchange forum itself. We run things a little differently here and I know it's a little confusing to new users, it does keep things less chaotic.

Sorry about having confused you - I would have made things clearer in my post to you if I'd realized you didn't know about the multiple-exchange thread rule. ^^; Your account honestly isn't in danger. Your mistake was a very minor one.

hey niki; i think the admin meant for you to change your title to make it say that you didn't have anything for sale anymore so that people wouldn't come in and ask for items you didn't have.

because of the 1 thread rule per person in the exchange, people do not always have to have something to sell or buy, so it is alright to say "nothing at the moment" or something like that in your title. ^^ it is a bit different from gaia because on gaia you can make thread after thread in the exchange.

this 1 thread per person rule means that everyone has a permanent exchange thread. :) so the current thread you have, if you do not have enough posts in the first page (as some people like to put Buying in one post, Selling in another, an About me, an Auction, etc etc) then you can also PM a mod to explain why you want another thread and to have them lock it so you could make another.

but it does seem like a misunderstanding on both parts, so hopefully they will get rid of the warning they gave you.

Don't worry! they won't delete you or freeze you or ban you. there are points you can get for warnings. Some warnings issue no points. However if you get 250 points (or was it 200? >__<) altogether THEN they will ban you. So you must do some really really horrible stuff. >__< like off site trade + hack or something to get enough points to get banned. xD
