Is there any other way to make gold on here besides posting in forums and playing games?

Posting and Games are the main source of gold earning, but if you post in roleplays, or hangouts, you can earn a lot of gold, as these threads are popular.

With this new "Live Posting" thing, you don't even have to refresh the page, letting you reply immediately!

Keep in mind there is going to be an event soon, where you earn EI's and if you get some gold prepared, you can buy the store commons at 50% of what they will be after the event.

Events are GREAT ways to make gold.
