If I put a link to my thread or to a site where I am logged in, when someone clicks on that link will they be transferred to my account and be able to do w/e on my account ???

... Don't think so... If I read this correctly.

So, if you go to... say, Gaia or Solia, and you are logged on over there, and hyperlink to say a "my account" tab... They will not be able to access your account, but get to the page and PROBABLY be faced with a page saying "Please sign in or sign up".

Also, there is no need to sign posts.
