Where to put my topic?
 

Hi again~

I was just wondering where I should post my thread if I wanted to talk about Broadway and musicals. I'm guessing that if I narrow down my topic to musicals that were adapted into movies, they would go to the Media subforum. But, if it's just mostly about people discussing what their favorite musicals are, songs from them maybe, or whatnot, would they still count as part of the Media subforum? Or would it be more appropriate to include it in the General Discussion or Menewsha Nations?

General Discussion would be a better spot for it. =)

I hate to countermand a staff member, but isn't there already a favorite musicals topic in media?

Also, if I were to particularly discuss songs from musicals, that would be in the Music category, right? =O

Also, thanks for checking though, Kin. ^^ I just checked myself, and there isn't one that I saw on either broadway or musicals in the first four pages of Music or Media. =) <3<3

The reason the vote went to the GD was because of the wide variety of it and that is it a live play. A general discussion of it could lead into specific people in them and other things they have done.
If the music from them was the main/only topic of the thread then yes it would. This is a pretty general topic though.

I would have thought it'd go in the Media main forum, myself.

Often we get threads like this crop up, ones that could belong in either the GD or a more specific forum and you can be a bit undecided as to were it should go. My general rule of thumb in these situations is put it where it's going to benefit the most. Which in this case would be the GD because of it's heavier traffic :yes:
