Signature Question
 

Are we allowed to put our personal site in our signature on this site? Or is that against the rules here?

What is your site? Really you can add a banner for your own site as long as it is just a banner not a referral link, and if it's not something unsuitable for our PG-13 rating. And not blatant advertising in the banner itself.

A generic banner should be fine. As long as it doesn't say things like, "Sign up here!!!"

I'd not be so keen if you wanted to actually link to the site though...

If you can stay within the boundaries of the rule then there should be no problem.

I see the posting of a non-linked generic banner as ok. But...the other AAs might not agree with me on this. So wait for them to respond too, ok?

I just wanted to make sure. My site is not complete yet, so am not advertising yet. So an image that has the url on the banner but not a direct link would be fine? Also, when it gets up and running (which prolly won't be for a few more weeks)...would it make it more allowed if on my site I provided a banner linking/advertising to this site?

When I have it running the name of the site will be http :// w ww. eternal-struggle. proboards.com

As far as appropriateness...no cussing/sex/etc will be allowed.
the skins are heaven and hell themed. It is going to be a half heaven/hell roleplay and half discussion site. Hope that helps with the decision :)

Inso would be the only person who could give a yes or no about affiliate linking. I'd be inclined to think that he wouldn't be interested though as a brand new site would benefit us very little while you could be luring away our users...

I wasn't asking for him to link my site as an official affiliate as that would make no sense at all :P. I was offering to put a link on my site to help advertise you guys when my site starts getting members if I was allowed to put just a simple banner in my signature. I am quite an active member, most of my perusing is in debates of course, but I highly enjoy the site :). If I can't put a simple banner I understand and hold no grudge, I would just have to find another way to advertise is all. Like I said, I would just like to know ahead of time before I do something when I am ready that would be frowned upon ;)
