Excuse me people of menewsha but why is the event shop closed?I really want to see whats in there:(

The event store is only open during site events. We don't have one of those going on right now, so you won't be able to get inside. Sorry! :)

site events?

An event is sort of like a site-wide party celebrating holidays (real ones like Valentine's Day and easter, as well as fictional ones made up for this site like the Phoenix Jubilee). There is usually a large forum dedicated to the event, where users create hangouts and giveaways, and the staff run some fun contests and games. There would usually be a large commons update, and all the new commons would be 50% off for the duration of the event. Additionally, special "event items" could earned by getting a special currency only available during the event. :)

Something that needs to be mentioned here (and will be globally announced soon) is that after the next event (Celes Paradi) things will be changing radically and there will be no more coded events that follow this format. Inso and the AAs have been talking about this for a week or so, and Inso mentioned it here, if I catch him online today I'm going to ask if it's time to officially announce this and how much can be given away at this point ;)

They will be fun, I'm excited about it as it will be a completely new thing for this kind of site, and I love it when we have things that the other sites don't as it sets us apart :) We are trying to move away from the "avatar site" niche and this should help us start to do that.
