Yep, you can give clothes to your friends. Just start up a trade, add all the clothes you want to, and accept it on your end. That way your friend can accept the trade without having to add any gold or items to it.

Use the trading system. Type her name into the start trade dialogue box, add your items, accept trade and voilą!
