How do 'views' work
 
My question is how do 'views' work on a thread? Is it anytime anyone visits it marks a view? Or maybe it is once per avatar it marks a view (so if they view it multiple times it still only counts it as one)? Does it count people who are not signed in?

I'd take a gander to think it's how many times it has been clicked on (therefore, viewed).

I always thought that it was how many times it was clicked on as well.

Yes, that's what it is. It's exactly as the word suggests. Number of views.
