A roleplay that fits in two places.

OK so I think I know the answer to this already, but if there is a role-play that overlaps more than one section which one should I put it in?

My specific example is a deadspace role-play. A role-play based on a horror game universe but it should involve none of the main characters. So this is both a fan-fiction and a horror role-play. I am assuming it goes in fan-fiction but just thought I would ask the question.

Also does a role-play need to go into a category?

If it is a private roleplay, group or singular then no, it doesn't need a category. That is only if you definitely know that you'd not bring anyone else into it.

Personally if you won't be using any of the original characters I don't really think it would be a fan-fiction, and may fit in more with the Horror group, since you'd only really be using the setting for the game, and not actual game characters/plot.

Though the general part of the forum is only really for roleplays that don't fit into the other categories. But generally, if you can get it to fit into one it's probably best, and you'd get the right sort of interest in your roleplay.

But yes, if it was me I'd put it in horror.

For my part, i'd be more inclined to add it to the Fan Based Forum. Even though it doesn't make use of the games characters, it still employs the constructs of the game's universe.

Splitting the RP Forum into different categories gives accessibility to an RPer who is looking for a specific type of roleplay. ;)

I'd also put it in Fan-Based.
