I don't mean to be rude, but why is this site called Menewsha?

I mean, is it just a made up name that the creators thought sounded cool, or does it mean something? I like to know what words mean, even names of countries and such.

From the very first time I heard of this site, before I even joined, I wondered why the heck it was called that...

Forgive me if this is something obvious that everyone knows, I'm pretty new here even though I signed up a long time ago ^^;;

I was told by someone who has been here for a lot longer than myself, that 'Menewsha' is simply the phonetic spelling of 'Minutia'. Though please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

That's right :) The site's original owner and creator, Josh, bought the domain for £1 or something, and that was its name :)

huh, the site is certainly worth more than one euro now, huh? ^w^
