How many mule accounts can you have and can you post on the forums with them?

You're allowed to have 1 mule account. You're allowed to post with it, but not in response to yourself. There are mule rules in the rule area.

This is probably going to be a really stupid question... But is the purpose of a mule account to help make money, or is there more to it?

Mules are used for all kinds of things. Lots of people use them for storage of extra items that they don't want cluttering up the inventory on their main account. Some create an alternate character specifically for roleplaying with. Some people want a male and a female account. Some people make them solely for gaining some more gold from game play. Any of these reasons :)

Got it :-) Thanks for the clarification. I think I'll stick to one account for the time being. I'm just trying to get used to everything on here. Some of the terminology confuses me sometimes and I try to dig through the FAQs to figure things out :-)
