Hi, I hope this is the right area to post this little story/query. >_>

Last night I was in the shops and I noticed that some of the harem outfits were available when I previously thought that they were only available for male avatars. It was a pleasant surprise to see that seemed to have changed...

So I decided to buy a pair of harem sleeves, since I fancied those. (Also hoping for the chance that I could wear them over the amarande gloves, but once I equipped them, alas they simply replaced them and my gloves became unequipped. "Oh well," I thought. "That's not so bad. I'll save them for another outfit.")

A few minutes later I revisited my inventory only to find that now the sleeves I'd bought were sitting in a red box instead of the green they were in previously, and I was unable to equip them at all!

I have a suspicious feeling that this was an honest mistake on the account of the people updating the shops with the recently added new-items, the harem set was never meant to be available for female avatars, even for a few minutes.

Is it possible to get this purchase sorted, and for me to return the sleeves for a refund? Because I still feel very slightly ripped off... :\

Some staff was experimenting with some of the items last night, and did convert those gloves to unisex for a little while - however, they then changed them back to male only [as you can tell. XD]. In a thread in the Site Feedback, some staff members made a post saying that they were testing out some male-only items to see if they would work as unisex. Apparently after discussing those gloves with the dev who pixeled them, the dev said she only wanted the gloves to be male, so they were switched back to male only.

I don't know if you'll be able to get a refund, but there was no official warning about this, so there is the possibility that you will.

I hope that made sense, and good luck getting your refund. I'd recommend PMing a CM or AA about this, though.

I noticed that tiny comment made by Kale Dragonheart that confirmed the availability of the clothes in the shop, then Jurupamae's comment two posts later retracting it.

Yes, I agree to your point that there was no official warning, and I will ask one of the CM's or AA's regarding the final verdict.
