They buy them in the exchange.

Like the tigers? Those were donation items,
and you need to get them from another user for gold.

Others are in the pet shop. (under the shops button, of course.)

I assume by "animals" you mean the black and white foxes (like the one in my avatar) and the tiger and lion?

The black and white foxes came from the Valentine's Day '08 Event.

The tiger and lion were Contribution Items sold in... May (? I'm lazy and am not going to look it up. XD; ) of '07.

You can buy any of those four by going to the Menewsha Exchange forum and seeing if anyone is selling any.

There are other animals too... the Winter Birds and the Fireflies are items you can find in the Shops. (I forget which.)

Are those the ones you're talking about?
