why must "my catches" hold 25 items?

is there a specific reason for the limit?

Your bucket hasn't enough space!

Its a simple matter of action and reaction. :D

funny

would like a more programmer answer

I agree with Andre. People keep mentioning that fishing isn't very realistic, and that they would like more realism. I think that an endless fishing bucket would be highly unrealistic.

But who knows. Perhaps the new software is the answer to your question. I don't know how that't possible, It's been the answer for everything else lately. xD

Well I can't imagine 100 fish, shoes, nails, TVs and whatever else you catch to all fit in a small little bucket... can you?

And besides, this way, which is probably why the programmers did it, it prevents people from botting since most botters use a clicking program to allow them to do things while afk. If you're forced to empty the bucket after 25 fish the user can't bot as easily, making it a hassle.

It's probably that way for a reason like that. Since us menewshans like a hacker-free community =3

Maybe the question isn't, "why isn't it bigger?" and more, "why isn't it smaller?"

I can't answer why it was coded that way. I wasn't on Staff when the game was being developed. But I think it's safe to say that hindering botting would be one of the reasons. Perhaps preventing some of the monotony would be another reason.

It's just the way it was coded.

Perhaps it will change someday.. but for now it is what it is. >.<

I developed the game with noofy and Josh, and thereon Ken (I think), and yeah; the bucket was generally at a size of 25 to prevent hoarding, and to keep it reasonably sized. 25 fish on your page is more than enough (considering the size the images and boxes are), it's just logical almost to have some sort of limit, given space and if they aren't going to be sold at some point; what are they hanging around for? Although I did develop an idea of having a page that detailed all your catches in a sort of "gallery of fish." I can't remember who I brought that up with though ><

If the fish boxes and images could be cropped to facilitate more per page then perhaps the bucket could be extended, but that's probably the least of the staff's worries currently - this mystical "software switchover!" is ever on our horizons.

God lol...

Code:

HttpPost("http://www.menewsha.com/games/fishing/my_catches.php?do=sellall", "do=sellall&user_id=X&sellall=Sell+All+Catches");
Ooh that was such a hassle to make a bot sell everything!
