New Games
 

My apologies if this thread has already been made and/or done to death, but I was wondering if any new games were coming up in the foreseeable future? I'm a big fan of games, especially word games, and was hoping there would be something along those lines. Thanks!

Probably not for a good while ^^; there are just alot of other things that need doing first, but who knows :angel:

I wouldn't mind puzzle games either like on Gaia, where you're not only receiving gold but also a random mystery item. That'd be nifty, puzzles are so relaxing *Zzz*

I would think that just the gold would be fine for the puzzle games. No mystery item. That's asking for too much I think.

I still believe mystery items would be a great idea. I thought about this all day today. It would be items specifically made to be rewarded from that game. And I am not talking about you doing 5 puzzles and getting one. I am talking about 'hard to get' items, that will sweeten your day when you actually manage to get one. It would be random, maybe someone would get one after their 20th puzzle while others do way more until receiving one.

That would not only make the games popular it will also give someone on Mene a nice reward from time to time. Just an idea however xD

In addition to inflation, more people would want to play games rather than participate on the forums, which would hurt activity even more.

While it may get out of control there it doesn't get out of control on Gaia at least it didn't last time I was there about a year ago x3

And I don't think games will have people be less talkactive just so they have a very small chance at an item. Right now people are going to different sites that offer games because in that part Mene is very boring.

In all honesty, i don't see us giving items out from games anytime in the future ^^;

Gold is more than enough of a reward

I've always enjoyed a little surprise no matter how cheap, I guess I'm pretty alone with that sentiment^^;; Would have been nice for those of us who aren't gold fixated :poke:

You are NOT alone ;) I still get excited when I win a Pinball Tee in Gaia and they only sell for 1g in the MP. But I dont sell mine. I keep every one like its a damn trophy LOL!!! You are right. Mystery prizes are very cool and give more incentive to hit higher scores. :P

But honestly, I dont think they would fit very well in the current games here. But if and when they do release new games here, they might issue tickets in some of them rather than gold and have a Prize counter where you can exchange your tickets for a prize of your choice. That would be kickass too. :)

are the ones in the games section all there is? cause if the games section has five games taht are old, and have nothing special about them, why cant there be more games, or at least something like on gaia where the games are original, although similar to many other games

There were originally unique games before we switched over to VBulletin, but due to poor coding and security features by our first owner the games had to be taken down to avoid any problems. It's been said that the games have a high chance of not returning because it would require a major coding overhaul t make them secure. We just have to be patient and see what the staff pumps out in the future.

I hope that we see some new games in the near future. Roachi is soo sick and tired of tetris lol.

I don't think new games would take away from the forum, but I think the occasional new game (I like the puzzle idea) would keep interest up. I'm kinda bored with all the current games.

I don't think we need prizes for the games, gold is good enough, but I would like some kind of recognition for people who got really, really high scores, maybe some kind of indication on their avatar. That would be really great.

while puzzle games are nice, my god, my brain is twitching now at the coding that would have to be done to make it work, and then more coding to make it work securely X.x

it is a nice idea, in concept, but the time it would take to code a game like that is a pain ^^;

plus, there is more to mene than just games. if you are bored with the games, then post. or find something else to go do.

Excuse my ignorant question, I'm still very new to mene. What else is there than to post and play games? Roleplaying would be considered posting, have I overlooked something? And no I don't care about gold, I do however enjoy playing games when Mene is slow but I don't enjoy the current ones at all :3

yeah i think they need more game two. the ones they have are supper fun but after playing them over and over makes me a little tired. i think one or two mor games would make it much better and i thinks its good that they have a limit on the amout of money you can get from games . this place is for people to chat and become friends with each other. it is nice to make money and get cool clothing but you have to remember that its vertual and that the people you are talkting to are reall. they matter so chat your heart out and let people know that your there and that your real and that you have opinions and that you know things. but back to my point . thay do need a few more game and i dont know when they are going to come out with more.

I think it would be neat if there was like a card or board game online. Where more than one person at a time could play. That would be fun. :squee:
