Oh, my god. Seriously? No wonder this site is so slow. It's a bunch of bull. It's a forum. A FORUM. With pretty sprites. Oooo, pretty sprites. Do I really need to quote this stuff? It wasn't even much. It's not like it's a game, you know. Where's the competition? Where are the prizes? The whole sprite system is just a way to praise active posters.

I don't get on this site much because it's horribly slow and there aren't many people. When I do get on, I like to just have fun. Sorry for "abusing" the gold system. Surely wasn't my attention, but I guess since this site is completely and utterly about nothing but character count and gold I'll start posting, "I am twenty years and seven months of age" instead of simply "20."

I'M SORRY, BIG BROTHER. From now on it's quantity over quality or nothing at all! Sorry I failed to quote a question in a questionnaire thread! Sorry that your precious gold system is more valuable than what few members you have! It's a forum. It's here to be fun, right? Don't give me ban-points and tkae away my gold for something so insignificant! Not like I was plagiarizing anyone.

I used to like how this site was similar to gaia, but without half the annoying little brats. It was kind of peaceful and calm. Even if I didn't get on much, I liked it. But now I see that the government here sucks. So much for another fun forum!

Is Menewsha a place to have fun or a place to be dictated? Think it over, Menewsha. Think it over.

I don't care if I'm banned. I don't know if I'm coming back anyway.

P.S. It's a sad day when a forum has to rely on sprites to keep it's head above the water. Generally foretells failure.

Speaking as the person who was doing his job I will say that Menewsha is a place to have fun. And many do have fun here. And one of the reasons they continue to have fun is because Menewsha is a place with rules. Rules designed to keep the site orderly and harmonious. Rules, I will add, that all users agree to follow when they join and that were in place long before you received your infraction.

The spoons warning was set in place to prevent users from earning gold from anything that was not written by themselves. This helps keep gold gain fair and prevents abuse of the gold earning system. Since your infraction, the spoon warning has been integrated into the 'Failure to quote anything not written by yourself' category. This prevents user from not only leaving spoons unquoted, but also dropping chunks of text from the internet into their posts in hopes of inflating their gold count. Unlikely, you many think, but it does happen.

Point is, the rules are not there to oppress you. They are there to keep a fair balance.

And though you won't be banned for voicing your opinion, you do seem to be causing quite a stink for a warning that expired over three months ago.

Speaking as a normal user who has gotten in trouble and has been on Gaia and is still an active member of this community: If you don't like this site, then don't log on. But even though you dislike the site, you have no real facts (in my opinion) to say that the staff have some sort of dictatorship over Menewsha and everybody is getting punished for doing normal stuff. The rules, Terms of Service and the threads that have the rules for each individual forum all lay out everything so that if they are read, you can effectively avoid any type of trouble. At least you weren't automatically banned for your first infraction right? You have an infraction, big deal. You haven't been punished so severely that you cannot recover. It's a tiny notice that helps you realize what you have done wrong and gives you the opportunity to acknowledge your mistake and continue on with your life.

Anyways, you should always quote items that have not sprouted from your own mind. Think of all the copyrights companies and artists have. It would SUCK if your ideas were passed off as somebody else's.
